Parshall has 4 Seniors....New Town has two Seniors.....and NT start a freshman and a sophomore. New Town still a young team as well.
New Town has also been missing two crucial players for a couple of weeks that play quite a bit due to injury...
Although it is one game and these teams will play each other twice yet this year...Lots of basketball to be played...
Yes, parshall has 4 seniors but only one that starts, (Rayessa odermann.) the other 4 starters are cheyenne packineau, (Soph) michele risan (Soph) Lexie woods (Junior) kiara packineau (soph). risan, cheyenne, kiara and lexie can and will only get better. So yes, parshall IS a young team and will be a contender in the coming years. I dont see new town competing with parshall next year or the year after, maybe decent shooters but no height. and at 6'2", cheyenne packineau still has 2 years of growing to do and lexie woods will be all of 5'10" by her Sr year.(tall Parents, she comes from the packineau family) plus Kiara who is the packineau twins sister who will also get some height. that leaves last but not least my favorite litle guard michele risan. If you havent seen her play, you gotta take time to do it. Risan's all of 5 foot tall but that little girl is NOT afraid to take right to the tall girls in the middle.
She'll split the tall defenders and do a finger roll for the bucket. If the Lady Braves dont do it this year, they'll be the region 8 state tourney entrant for the next 2 years after this years play as the teams core of the 2 packineaus and risan will remain for the next 2 years..
