Thought I heard somewhere today that the selections for the teams have been made, but have seen nothing in the papers. Are the teams out? If so, whos on them?

Players were nominated by their coaches after the season ended, and the teams were selected in early January by fifteen members of the North Dakota High School Coaches Association. Players have been notified as to whether they are on the 25/35 man rosters or are alternates, and have another week or so to accept or decline their selections. A press release will be made in mid-February with the rosters of all four teams. The games will be played on July 12 in the Fargodome, teams will report for practice on July 6.

Is this game at the same time as the Lion's all star game? If so that would be a reason for Mauch not to play.

I will be looking forward to this years shrine game. I have read so much about McCleary and Gion it will be great to see them on the same field. It was a shame Gion didn't get to play in the championship and will be great to see how they compare with the best of the best around them. Don't know how much defense either will play but know Gion is as good of linebacker as running back.

i would think it had something to do with the fact that the west was up 14-0 only a minute and a half into the game. talk about a confidence breaker. after that the west defense dominated the east's offense, and the west's offense continued to produce

I remember this game, and this team was so incredibly stacked. I was bummed not to make the game, but being hurt for half of the season really hurt my chances. I love being able to look around on this board and see some of the history dating back to my high school days. I wish I could go back and play again.
