This is only a guess on my part, but I wonder if fan attendance has anything to do with it? The NDHSAA knows the small schools(9 man) fans will show up no matter what time their teams play, whereas the biggest schools (AAA) fans wouldn't be there until after school is out. I would guess the 9 man schools take that Friday off of school so their student body can show up, the bigger schools probably don't/won't shut down school for the day so their students won't show up in as large of numbers. Just a guess on my part. I would like to see attendance figures for each individual game if that is possible.

I don't think it's about getting fans into the dome at certain times of the day, From what I understand, it is the TV station that has paid for the rights to televise these games who has a significant pull on the order that they are played in.

Would the Alerus or the Bison Dome be available on that Saturday though. I though that was the reason for playing all of them on Friday now.

Not a terrible idea, but I really doubt that NDHSAA would put the 6 man games in the dome/alerus center. They play on a different sized field (I think it's 40X80). My guess is that even if they get enough teams to sanction a 6-man playoff and championship game, it will be at a different site. Maybe I'm wrong... I have been on one other occasion

Minnesota 9man plays on the same dimension field as ND 6man. MN plays their 9man championship in the Vikings stadium as well as a couple of their section championships in GF and Fargo. Not too hard to add temporary lines.
