We have the running clock (Mercy Rule) due to a small group of coaches who "are building their program" by beating teams by 50 or more and playing starters deep into those games. I am not in favor of the mercy rule, but I am betting it is here to stay. Hopefully the NDHSAA will tweak it a bit, but I don't see it going away.
Teams, fans, etc. need to deal with losses. If some team drops you by 50 points because they played their starters deep into the 4th quarter. Deal with it. Why should you care so much? Everyone wants something to complain about.
Agreed......you can't have a potential "huge comeback" if there isn't a blowout taking place......last time I checked I think its called "Sports".......as far as rules to prevent? wasted paper
