On my rankings I'd have St. John at the 7 spot with moving Harvey-Wells County to the 5 spot, and move Lakota-Adams-Edmore and Langdon both in front of Benson County. If you look at it who does Benson County really return??
There are also 3 players I'd add to the list and that is Brooks Larson (North Star), Zach Sundre (Lakota-AE), and Colter Pritchard (Langdon).

For upsets does anybody think that Four Winds can beat North Star?

I dont see anyone is Region 4 touching them. Haglar and Grande just wont let it happen.

It is a little harder to motivate kids I guess because they’ve been pampered so much. We’re in the trophy generation, give ‘em a trophy for 23rd place, make ‘em feel good. Make mom and dad feel good.” Tom Izzo, Michigan State Basketball

I think no one can touch North Star, except for FW-M. But not sure who is going to play for them yet. Lakota brings back alot, and curious to see if they can do well, even after having a new coach (old coach, I think George, was a good coach IMO). The bottom 7 teams are not very good at all. They each will probably lose to the top 5 teams by 25-40 pts. each time they play them. I see Rolla possibly leapfrogging BC, H-WC, and Midkota.

How will North Star's bench be? IIRC they only played 6 last year and one was a senior.

They have never had much of a bench. I think overall as a team they will be better this year. They have two real good freshmen that will play some for them.

Didn't they have a tall, lanky freshman who started to come on near the end of the year? North Star is my preseason favorite for the state title.

Northstar have Hagler, Grande, with Weston the sophmore returning plus several other quality seniors and they have new kid that has moved in this year from what i hear should add quite a bit of depth and size to this team from the gossip i have heard. they should be favorites in region 4. But Fourwinds will be awfully good this year too so it should make for interesting season. Also Carrington will be returning quite a bit of talent too and could do some damage. Then their is whole bunch of teams pretty equal that will be fighting it out fill out positions in the rest of the region. Definitely will be between Northstar, Fourwinds, and Carrington who will be region champ.

It's just too hard to put Munich-Starkweather above HWC and NRS after losing to them (losing to NRS handedly too). I just don't think their win over St. John can propel them that high with those losses.

I just think by the end of the year that's where MS will be. Don't see the other 3 teams moving any higher.

1. North Star
2. Carrington
2. Four Winds

4. St. John - playing mediocre since the Cavalier game, Jay suffered knee injury and likely out for season.
5. Munich-Starweather - inconsistent, getting better

6. Harvey-Wells County
7. Lakota-Adams-Edmore
8. New Rockford-Sheyenne - looked terrible at the CNDC, shouldn't have been the 2 seed. lost to benson county.

9. Rolette-Wolford
10. Langdon
11. Benson County

12. Midkota

13. Rolla - bad, getting better
14. Warwick - bad, just bad

After last night's score against Northstar I think I may be wrong. With the Jay kids from SJ out with an injury, is anyone in the region going to put up a fight against the top 3?

No, I don't see anyone else playing with those 3.
