I was just wondering now that hockey is all said and done. How do they pick tournament teams? I know some of the logistics. I just think maybe a new way needs to be done because these teams always consist of many players from 1 team. Some of these teams that may not have a great win record, but some great talent does not get recognized. I feel Jamestown should have had Stillwell make the team as well. Hazen/Beulah could have had two players Olson and Murschel had great seasons with points maybe the team did not have such a great season, but better than many of the previous years. I know it is hard as the talent pool is great, but I think something needs to change a little to give some of the other teams a chance. I have also heard it is kind of a "you scratch my back and i'll scratch yours" with some coaches when they nominate players.
Not that I do not think that the players nominated should not be on the team, but I know for a fact some other players were deserving as well.
Just my thoughts maybe they can work out a new nominating system, maybe it is the way it should be. Just curious and thought I could find out more information.
