I honestly believe the championship is between New England and Beulah. New England was victim of playing a team too many times in districts (Heart River, they had played and beaten them 3 times prior) They played terrible and got beat....they are a 4 seed?!?!?! Whoever wins that game will beat Trinity in the title game. I hate that one of these teams loses and is done first night, NE's fault for losing a game they shouldn't have. The Zacher kid from Beulah is a Mr. Bball candidate next year.

Considering NE hasn't beaten any of the top three this year in D14 and has losses to Heart River and Mott-Regent this season in D13, you sure seem pretty confident NE won't have any problems past Beulah. I wouldn't be so sure.

They both can beat Hazen (semis), they both can beat Trinity. Mott is going no where fast if you watched them at DSU. Heart River wont beat Trinity....Trinity has 2 wins to the title game....where they are less talented than either Beulah or NE. I agree....Bowman is a threat....next year.
Cougars....
If you have watched this district the last two years, you know who the better team is, and im from SOUTH HEART...I sat in Heart Rivers stands and listened to everyone gasp every time New England shot the ball, we caught them on the right night... If they played 10 more times, New England wins 8 or 9, thats just the honest truth. I cheered like heck watching HR win that title, good for them, but they arent better than NE, and they wont beat Trinity at home.
I realize both Beulah and NE have some losses, I've watched all the teams, IMO these two are the best. My opinion, sorry if you disagree.

NDplayin wrote:Mike Ditka- As certain as you are that New England is so outstanding it sounds like you should also be giving Region 5 some love. I know comparing scores is sketchy business but in this case it's about all we got. Didn't Shiloh beat New England by double digits? I think they also got a win against Hazen.
Anyone know if Shiloh played any other teams in the Region 7 tournament?

You are speaking of Hazen like they are a medicore ball club, they are very talented and have played very well this season, they both can beat trinity? Again making Trinity sound like a medicore ball club with that statement, you are writing off heart river a little quick in my opinion, obviously Heart River has proven with their showing in Dickinson that they are playing the best basketball of anyone in the district. I would say Heart River vs. Beulah for the title and beulah winning by 8.

I'm not speaking of Hazen like they are mediocre, I'm saying Beulah and NE are better. Same thing I said before the season started when you said Hettinger would be really good. I realize they had an accident but before that accident they had blow out losses to good teams, Grafton? Or was it Berthold in that tourney championship they went to early on. Then also...NE beat them by 30, before their accident, but they must not be good, right?
