Going with Grafton by at least 10. Thompson maybe be a bit hungry after losing to Midway-Minto but once again they are playing at home.

Well, Grafton just beat CC who many thought was the best team in the state, and Thompson just got beat by Midway/Minto who many people thought was not the best team in the state. So based on that, I'd say Grafton should win easily.

What happened with the Thompson-Midway/Minto game? How'd that game go in favor of M-M?

I don't think Grafton will win easily. I think Thompson just played a bad game...and they'll figure it out tonight.

That being said...I still think Grafton wins but only by 5-10 points. Thompson keeps it close until late...

Let me first say im not from grafton. Grafton girls are the real deal I truly feel that they could beat alot of boys b ball teams. The hustle and dedication they show along with defense and how they move the ball with their whole game plan is just the true fundamentals of basketball just displayed very well but not to perfection and they are alot better team from when they even played carrington.

It's definitely been a pretty good couple of games for the Grafton girls. To have the #3 and #7 rated teams in the state back to back and put them both down by 20 at the half....that's fairly impressive.

haha o man come on...they would beat ZERO boys teams...ZERO...They are a great girls team but lets not get crazy...there is a big difference between the speen and strength of the boys and girls games...even the bad boys teams are faster and stronger
It is a little harder to motivate kids I guess because they’ve been pampered so much. We’re in the trophy generation, give ‘em a trophy for 23rd place, make ‘em feel good. Make mom and dad feel good.” Tom Izzo, Michigan State Basketball

I didn't say they would beat grafton, northstar, or berthold varsity teams. You guys need to quit thinking with ur short stubby head between ur legs. I guess a person needs to make sure they noted everything in their posts because the INTELLIGENCE level of readers is poor. High school ball teams do include A, B, and C squad but I thought you KNOW it ALLs would COMPREHEND that. So I didn't name teams that they would beat just for sportmanship to the teams. Come on guys take the blinders off for awhile..

Im not going to argue on this one its to easy 1 team think about it 1 team and im right ur wrong. 1 team and I know there is 1 team out there they would beat and I win. You can't tell me that your that stupid to think there isn't 1 team 1 that they could beat. No other excuses just answer is there 1 team doesn't matter where just one team cuz you said they couldn't beat any varsity boys. It doesn't matter what it is in life there's always someone, something, somewhere better and worse fact of life.

king...I'm confused...SO they would beat "alot" of boys teams? Or just one boys team somewhere some time?

Not saying it couldn't happen, but not really likely any girls team would beat any boys team at the same level. Case and point: A few years ago (ok, quite a few years ago) a local girls team that was highly rated thought they could beat the local boys team that was a .500 team. A scrimmage was set up and the results? Boys won by at least 40 points. The girls just can't compete with the athleticism and quickness of the boys game. Simple as that.

I agree, 100%...Not taking anything away from the Grafton girls they are a great team and are the clear favorite in Region 2.

Ok so ill take my slap saying (alot) I didn't mean it as open as it was taken my bad. I didn't say big rated teams, boys in generel which has 3 levels sorry didn't think it would blow up without open minded common sense being used but packer21 said no team so theoretically I only need 1 team out there to lose to them and I know that is possible and you would have to agree with that. I will agree that speed size boys have the edge and that is a no brainer.

I have a hard time agreeing with anyone with a "packers" handle of any kind but they are correct. King, you need your stubby head examined. Graftons tallest girl is 5-10 and the point guard is 5-4. Most college womens teams couldn't be most high school boys teams. Give up and move on

This is unbelievable - I can't read King James 101 mind, but I take it that King was giving the Grafton girls a compliment. I didn't read anything more into it. So don't get so worked up. Bottom line is Grafton won't be playing any boy's teams in district - they need to worry about beating the girl's teams to get to the regions. They are a good team when they play as a team, but it's high school sports and anything can happen. (Except playing against the boys)
