From watching Evenson play against my team (South) he had 42 points in the JV game which is by far the most ive ever seen in a JV game. He can shoot from the inside and outside.

You said he would not be a good HS player. He ended scoring 1400 points. Played I think 5 EDC schools last year went 5-0 avg almost 30 a game. At Mayville redshirted but they say he's going to be a 4 year starter and a stud for them next year.

No dis-respect for you but you have no eye for talent . . I have watched Brock Evenson about 8 games this year and the same for Andy Young . .

Brock Evenson- personally I am very excited to watch him play next year he can bring the ball up the court with pressure on him, he strokes it from three land, and if you watch him he is very physical and gets a lot of rebounds. If he stays healthy next year and continues to improve his game and lift this summer i expect him to be all-edc next year and possibly all-state.

Andy Young- An absolute force on defense and when is open does not miss. Other teams have no answer for him when he gets hot. He is an excellent ball handler and I expect big things from him next year

I am not biased at all towards this subject I truly believe these two will be main factors next year for West Fargo

I'm not saying that they're bad players... but is'nt this Best upcoming players from the east? Not guys who will start next year play great D, Avg 7 points a game (Brock maybe 12) and have a 1 to 1 assist to turnover ratio

When you say a "toss up" do you mean a bunch of average teams? Mandan and BHS will dominate everyone next year.

Like what? I know that they both have incredible 'ups'...

Paxton has a ton of "ups", great basketball player all around, his brother colton-i have never seen his "ups" before but i know he can shoot and play good defense.

Paxton will no doubt be the key to any success South will have next year. Poss and Nicklaus will not be factors unless Paxton has a very good year. Conner Schweitzer may be the surprise player for next season

I think you may mean Carter Schweitzer the younger brother that will be a Junior, as Conner played football and is graduating.

I think I'm right about this one too!
Bauduin is having a very good year although he missed 5 games to a strained MCL!
Again, I'm not dogging Young or Evenson! just saying you thought Bauduin sucked and would'nt even be successful in HS and said Young and Evenson would tear up the EDC!

I heard there are about five 6th graders in Grand Forks with D-1 potential. Is this the basketball or hockey forum?

Here is my theory. In the West, the better athletes play basketball. In Grand Forks and other East schools they play hockey. For about the last 10 years the West has dominated in hoops. The East has always dominated hockey. Obviously the talent pool is similar for everyone, as most North Dakotans come from similar genetic backgrounds. In Wda hoops and EDC hockey, the regions are deeper, so the teams get better throughout the year. When the state tourney rolls around, regardless of talent, this plays a huge factor. I was joking about the GF hockey kids just to get a reaction, although I can guarantee more college hockey players will come out of GF than BB players.
