I respect your opinions Run, but I think Grant County should walk through this region, just my opinion, but they will be very very very good.

Word from Wilton is that they will be the team that sneaks up on everyone this year and next year will be their state run. Coach Jenkins had them meshing in the off season and is excited for this season to begin.

But my money is on Grant County, although New Salem with experience from a winning tradition will give them troubles.

No one else loves my hometown Miners. We scrimmage the Miners from coal country this week. This will give us an idea about how much fun this year will truly be. After finally getting them on the court, more of you will be believers....

I hear we dominated the scrimmage. Our guards are the best in the region. Watch out region 5, this year is the beginning of something special for this town.

Its not all about guards in basketball you need a complete team, especially with teams like new salem, grant county, and maybe even shiloh. I dont know much about this region, but what i do know is grant county must be talented, being ranked 3rd in the state isnt easy.

At this time of the year it is easy. They havent played a game. I'm sure they are talented but rankings mean nothing. There are at least 4 or 5 teams that will compete for the region.

Obviously someone has to much time on their hands. You guys maybe young and talented, but there is a reason you are not getting any words from anyone. You have to prove and you have yet to do that even in the scrimmage. 5 Points in the second half of scrimmage is far from dominating.

Don't waste our time on here having to read your garbage.

Chowda, the post you are referring to seems a little sarcastic to me. That you are taking sportfan38 seriously makes me giggle. For all you or I know sportsfan38 is a bogus poster from another town trying to stir the pot. For that matter any of us could be.

Well, my Lady Miners win again. 3-1. Beat a tough Firebirds teams that I am sure will finish 1st or 2nd in their district. The two best athletes on the team(Heidi Clausen and Josie Hettich) lead the way again. Clausen is averaging about 15 a game and Hettich about 10. When we get consistent play out of our sophomore guards, we will be totally clicking. Washburn Tuesday night. Cardinals better look out, my miners are on a roll.

This statement is ridiculous...Central Prairie will NOT be 1st or 2nd in their district. Ellendale is easily the favorite for District 5 and then its between Barnes County North and L-M-M (who already defeated CP by 14 points).

In a district that is 0-8 in regions the past 2 seasons.

Ouch, that was a little bit of a low blow to district 5 don't you think Flip? Although I do agree with you. District 5 has to start playing the same kind of ball that district 6 plays. Which is an up-tempo, fullcourt press, and aggressive style of basketball. Some district 5 teams are to content on walking the ball up the court and running half court sets and being passive on defense. Also, I just don't think the talent has been there for the ladies of district 5 in the last couple years. Ellendale has had some good teams, but just has been able to figure it out in the regionals. I believe district 6 players are so used to beating district 5 that the number 4 seed isn't even afraid of the district 5 number one seed. I hope this changes this year and we see some district 5 wins in the regionals. I think Ellendale has the potential to make a run again this year, but it's early and we'll see. It all comes down to coaching, focus, and execution when you get to regionals.

yeah and if you would've kept reading you would've read that I agreed with Flip's statement even if it was a bit of a low blow. Thanks.
