OKAY, THIS IS FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO DON'T QUITE GET WHAT I'M TRYING TO GET ACROSS THE PROBLEM I HAVE IS THAT I BELEIVE THE BEST RECORD SHOULD SUPERSEED WHAT YEAR IT IS OR WHAT REGION YOUR IN, PLAIN AND SIMPLE IF IT COMES DOWN TO THAT TWO TEAMS ARE TO PLAY EACH OTHER THAT HAVE THE SAME SEED BUT ONE HAS A BETTER SEASON RECORD I BELEIVE THE TEAM WITH THE BETTER REDCORD SHOULD BE REWARDED WITH HOME FIELD, NOW, IF BOTH TEAMS HAVE THE SAME SEED AND SAME RECORD THEN GO TO ODD EVEN YEAR REGION THING OR COIN TOSS OR NEUTRAL FIELD WOULD THIS NOT TAKE AWAY THE POSSIBILITY OF A TEAM NOT HAVING TO WIN THEIR LAST 1 OR 2 REGULAR SEASON GAMES AND BEING ABLE TO REST THEIR PLAYERS ?? IT'S PRETTY SIMPLE !!!!

You can't just give the team with the better record the home field because what if one team plays in a weaker region. Without Non-Region games this isn't a possibility...I, however, am not opposed to a neutral field to cut travel costs.

I think a nuetral field takes away some of the reward. Getting the 1 seed means that you get host playof games and you don't have to travel. It's a great feeling to know you don't have to travel. The current system isn't terrible, it isn't ideal but it works

Exactly Run! They have to do what they think the most fair and what they think will make the most people happy. I think they did a pretty good job

he's talking about neutral field when you get to the semis and most likely have two #1 seeds squaring off.

I understand that but it's still a playoff game that would otherwise be playe on your homefield in front of your home crowd....in the semis I could see it if you have 2 same seeded teams with the same record

record is mute point though under the current region set up because there are ONLY region matchups. Its impossible to determine a true top seed because one region may be extremely weak and the team goes undefeated...and the other team loses 1 game in a tough, tight region. There is no easy way to determine the homefield situation.

Yep I agree with that....which is why I think the system currently in place is the best option at this time

Seems to me DC fans like to complain. Remember back in 09 when they were ranked #5 in the state? And they complained when they got knocked off by a very tough Kenmare squad because the field was muddy. Yes it was muddy, but the Honkers had to play in the same conditions as did DC. Same thing applies to this topic here. If DC would've beat North Star you wouldn't hear them complaining. But when all is said and done congrats on a successful season!
