Don't know the west teams, but in the east.
Best running game, Wahpeton. Watched them play in 40 mph wind, so I don't even know if they have a passing game, but their running game was tough.
Best passing game, Grafton. Hanson to Jiskra is as good as anyone I've seen. Add in three or four other recievers who are also very good, plus good protection (and good scrambling by Hanson) and there are just too many weapons to stop.
Best special teams, Shanley. Well coached, don't make many judgement errors, and a good kicker. Interestingly, I would say Grafton's special teams are definitely one of their weak spots. Grafton has lost the special teams battle with several teams they have played this year.
Best bench, no idea. I don't know if anybody really can go two deep in high school ball without giving up some talent. Casselton had lots of bodies on the sidelines, and it seemed like they rotated a fair amount of kids, so I assume they have some depth.
Best quick strike, Grafton. Grafton is a big play type of offense. No ground and pound. Big plays on offense and defense have been the rule rather than the exception for this team all year.
