Jacobson (Shanley/OG) chose to play volleyball over XC.
Anderson (Benson County) is taking some time off.

Gotta love when a 7th grader who took 2nd place at state decides volleyball is more important. I wish she knew how much natural talent she has.

that is true BUT Cross Country would get you more in shape for BB than VB would.

I agree with Baller. I don't even think long distance running has much carry over to basketball. The type of endurance needed to run a 5K and play basketball isn't even comparable IMO.

The social aspect of volleyball over cross country is a big draw for any 8th grader.
