There was definitely much more of a rivalry the past few years over this game than this year, even with the Titus girls playing for Central Cass. I felt bad for the Hankinson players (Stein and others??) who were members of last years team that was so good, and now they are part of a team that is so bad. It's got to be a big disappointment for them.
Now, as far as rivalries and transfers, when the CC boys play Kindred (Tanner Kretchman transferred last year reportedly so he could play varsity as an 8th grader), that will be intense!

How did the Titus girls do? Do they start? I wouldn't think there would be too much drama on Hankinson's end since the family moved in the best interest of reducing commuting for the family, but how has the CC parents been in accepting talented players who were unexpected?

Neither one starts, although I would expect Carmen will at some point in the season. Morgan gets in at the end of the games and plays mostly on JV. We have a deep squad with 3 juniors playing on JV (25 girls out for BB in HS total). Carmen is definitely a great addition to the team... she is a hustler and works really hard at defense. She gets some great steals and passes really well. When they first moved to Casselton, I think there was a lot of hesitation about them taking spots away from girls that were already there, which hasn't happened. Of course we haven't had any challenging games either so everyone has played. The girls all get along well and it helped to have the VB season first, where even though Carmen didn't get to play much, she was still part of the team, cheering them on. I think pretty much everyone is happy with how things are going.
