Game of the week is a tough one.
I really think the game that long term is likely quit important is the Larimore/Park River.
Both teams improved over last year, Larimore more than I thought they would, Park River less.
There likely is a playoff berth in the balance tonight, and the question really is, is either team going to take the steps to get to the next level of play. There's been such a division between the top teams and the rest in District one it isn't funny, but both Larimore and Park River are in the position that they really could join the top teams in the future if they basically make the commitment to do so.
Harvey/Berthold is a real question too. Can Berthold pass against Harvey, should be good weather for them tonight. But Harvey has that tough nosed tradition. I'm thinking Harvey in the end will figure out a way to win.
Cavalier/NP is largely a revenge game. This one doesn't count much except for bragging rights and if NP won the placings gets interesting again, but I'm thinking don't actually change. I wouldn't be surprised to see this be a warmup for the playoffs again.
I'd love to see the Langdon/Midway game. Midway improved so much from last year that I wouldn't be shocked to see them take one from Langdon.
Linton/Oaks could be a good game but I think the people who are thinking Oaks is going to do it this year are kidding themselves. I'd say it's Linton's to lose but I don't think it will be that close.
The big thing in the Velva/Des Lacs game isn't who's going to win, it's will someone figure out how to score some against Velva?
And Killdeer/Hazen is an interesting game but I do think the Cowboys are going to ride Hazen all night long.
