The Larimore v Cavalier game looks like it could be the game of the week. The Berthold/OR v Willaims County should be a good one as well with those 2 fighting with DLB for the 4th playoff spot out of Region 3.

North Prairie vs. Hatton/Northwood Could be close
Cavalier vs. Larimore Blow out
Midway/Minto/Colony vs. Rugby Blow out
Langdon/Munich vs. Park River/Fordville-Lankin/Edinburg I think it should be close

Region 3

Velva vs. Garrison/Max Blow Out
Berthold/Our Redeemer's vs. Williams Co. I do not have a clue, so I am not picking this one
Harvey vs. New Town/Mandaree
Des Lacs-Burlington vs. Stanley/Powers Lake

Region 4

Standing Rock/Selfridge vs. Grant Co./Flasher
Watford City vs. Heart River Blow out
New Salem/Glen Ullin vs. Hazen I think they will win going away
Bowman Co. vs. Killdeer/Halliday[/quote] should win going away.

I do not claim to be an expert on the whole state (or even any part of it), but it sure seems like there are a lot of match ups that are one sided this week.

Let me know if I am wrong, and why. Thanks! :D

You guys may be correct however basing it on the fact that Larimore hasn't played anyone is ridiculous. Just because they haven't played a decent team doesn't mean they are not a good team. Can you give me some reasons why this will be a blowout?

In my opinion, Cavalier has better overall athletes, they can throw the ball, they run it very well. I just think they are better in all phases of the game, especially after what they did to Rugby.

Cavalier definately has the better athletes thats why they are undefeated and dominating opponents. They have arguably the best passing game in the state and im pretty sure Smith has more yards after contact than he does before. It seems like he always gets hit in the backfield or at the line of scrimmage but ends up with a 10+ yard gain. The only was Cavalier will lose this year is if they run into a team with a decent line. There line is by far the weakest part of the team but luckily for them they haven't run into a team with any kind of line.

Larimore was weak physically last year and unless the kids have spent some serious weight room time, I don't know why that would change this year. All I heard change was that they lost some of their relatively good skill positions.

I realize now at Larimore people are thinking they have a pretty good team on their hands and they are, if you rate them next to the teams where the kids don't do much in the off season and just show up to play football a couple of months.

But compared to the schools with a tradition of doing the work and winning at football, I don't know of anything that has changed.

Until proven otherwise, I too would expect Cavalier to win by at least 30 this week. Larimore will get really beaten at the line.

For game of the week in the region I would think the Park River-Langdon one would actually be the best match of the week. Almost a playoff game, it's going to be hard for the loser to make the playoffs. Both teams have some very good players and some not so good. Hard to pick a winner, but I'm leaning Park River this year.

Not talking smack, just saying the way it is. If Larimore wants to knock off Cavalier it's just fine with me, just I don't believe they are physically capable of doing it because they don't put in the work to be really good.

Shows in their quite anemic wrestling program too.

You cant play any sport MAD you have to be prepared physically and mentally.....I dont think anybody is dissing Larimore...I thing the judgement is being made with how the Class A season has started off...Cavalier has the edge because of their experience and persaverence.....with that said, the game must be played. :)

Cavalier is a good team this year. Which shows in their undeafted record so far this season. Larimore also has an undeafeted record. Given Larimore hasn't played any superb teams so far. Langdon however is a pretty decent team. Laimore's line has improved greatly for this season. Cavaliers running game is the biggest threat this week, with the option to toss the ball around if needed. Larimore has a tough D-fence; If they execute they should be able to stop the running game, which will cause them to through the ball around and cause turn overs. This will be the biggest game of the regular season!
