Farkas-2 year starter, 2nd and 3rd at state running the point, both times losing to very solid Mandan teams. I can't hate on that resume.

He is decent but nothing special. Limke always has a good defensive squad out on the court which is why they are usually towards the top.

4th best EDC point guard, and considering the others were Savageau, and 2 four year varsity players, I say he is above average. 2nd best point guard in the EDC next year.

Not really. When the people in front of you are Nik, Luke, and Josh, it is hard to be on that level.

When you post, you continually look more and more uninformed. That said, I am not surprised that you have not played basketball all of you life, have not watched it on tv all of your life, and have never been to a game.

No one would say that Kielpinski is good at free throws. I also do not think Kielpinski is a basketball god. He is a D2 player. I have played against a lot of high major D1 talent.

Texas has 8 classes of basketball. You may not realize this, but being a D2 basketball player is solid, and he would start in most of the states in the country. He is athletic and can finish at the rim.

Josh Rodenbiker, DeWayne Liggins, Devin Coyle, Dexter Werner, and AJ Jacobson are not good enough to make this list?

DeWayne Liggins and Dexter Werner will be big returnees for BHS. As for Century Maund, Ledger, Rivinius, and I think Tom Fraase will be a breakout star this season for Drin Matterns team

balla45 wrote:I don't have a specific order, or even a definate top 10. I would say top 10 on each side:

WDA

Werner, Liggins, Ledger, Hanstad, Fischer, Coyle, Janz, Steinwand, Crosby, Preszler.

EDC

Erickstad, Schulz, Bergeron, Rodenbiker, Montplaisir, Jacobson, Oakland, Lofgren, Farkas, Schoc
k.

Some of these from the EDC are just players that I hear are going to be solid from some coaches in the EDC.

I think all of these players will be all conference. Speculating a little more, I see Dickinson as #1 from the WDA and Shanley as #1 from the EDC.

All State First Team

Hanstad
Rodenbiker
Schulz
Werner
?????

This is a very good listing of the top 10 in the WDA and the EDC and in that 5th all state spot i think Devin Coyle could be a sleeper here, dude can flat out ball and I think he and the Braves will suprise some people this year

im goin in wrote:i was a little surprised with how schultz played in the tournament. i wasnt sure what went through his head but im guessing he was just trying to be unselfish because those games were the last the seniors on his team would ever play and im sure he respected them a lot since he played the year before with them. That really affected how he played. he got a little lazy and somewhat passive. i expect great things out of him next year and to lead his team to state.

Top 10 edc players: (no order)
Rodenbiker
Schultz
Okland
Erickstad
Jacobson
Schock
Dunn
Lofgren

What about mertens from dl he is a good player. He can shoot and dish it

Definitely is up near the top 10. His numbers are deflated because he plays with, in my opinion, 2 of the 5 best players in the EDC.
