I know of a girl that will contend for the 1 and 2 mile races this year. But she is not a freshman she is only an 8th grader and took 2nd in the 2 mile last year and won state xc this year. Chandra Yankton will forsure be there with anyone in the state this year and 4 more years to come after this one. I have never seen anyone train like she does and her mom and dad push her really hard! This is coming from a little town with no programs for running, Her mom is the head XC coach and her dad is her Asst. coach. They also double as her coaches for track. I guess all of the hills around our place are good for something afterall.....

I hope she doesn't get burned out...it would stink to see someone with the talent that she has burnout as she gets older

haha. so true.
a freshman from south who could be pretty good is Ethan Norstag. He was a top runner for the XC team. also Aaron Green if he is going out for track ( also plays baseball ), who stated that he has ran a PR of 4 51. also a freshman.

That's because he ran a 16:06 at state cross as a freshman!
Ohiostrocks, I guess you are the guy to hype up a century kid? HAHAHA
Anyway, watch for the two freshman jumpers from West Fargo. Bishoff and Heinen. They got hops

hahaha no. It's not that hard to see that a freshman is good if he can already triple jump over 40 feet.
OHIOST_rocks wrote:Drew Wiseman form century is a good freshmen. He is already doing just about every event varisty this year for century, running in there 4x400 relay and going over 40 feet in the triple jump. he is also a promising young lad in the hurdles and high jump.
