2010 Season

The teams in Class AA.

2010 Season

Never too early to start thinking about next year....

1) Shanley - Looking at their roster, they bring back around 7 of their top 10 players, including top QB, RB, WR and OL/DL. Holy Crap! Can you say repeat. They would've given South a good run to play Bismarck in AAA this year.
2) Devils Lake - Solid underclassmen in a solid program.
3) St. Mary's - Will be better after terrible first year in AA
4) Grafton - Not alot of players, but the ones they have are talented.
5) Lisbon - Lost QB and RB, but not much else.

Wahpeton will be down (plus new coach), Trinity loses alot of players but can never be counted out. Carrington will be solid again. Valley City and Central Cass should be solid as well.

Shanley wins AA title and maybe even the AAA title next year. (if they were still in AAA)

Shanley will be good next year. DL will not be as good as you think. DL will have a good line but thye will be lacking in the skilled positions. Next year they will be a 3-4 seed.

we all know wahpeton loses smith but they return 3 of 5 starting linemen they return a kid who rotated in on the offensive and defensive linemen that is a big part of the game of football for wahpeton if their line can control teams so they can get 4 or 5 yards every time thats all they need........i would say the only thing that could keep wahpeon from being a tough team again is they lose alot of defensive starters we will see what the young kids from wahpeton can do on the defensive side of the ball

i highly doubt they could've competed with South. Nothing against them, but there's a reason there's a difference between AA and AAA schools. Shanley was a great team, but had two very close games to end the season, which realistically could've went either way. They will without a doubt be the early favorites next year. I would say after Shanley, the field is open next year. I don't quite see St.Mary's being the number 3 team, but you never know. You can never count out teams like Devils Lake and Trinity. I live in the west so I don't know so much about Lisbon, Grafton, or Wahpeton. Should be another exciting year

Shanley wins AA title and probably AAA title next year.

Red River beat Shanley this year...so I would have to say Shanley probably would have been the team to play Bismarck in the 1st Round of State like Fargo North did this year.

Actually, next year you can count out Trinity because they are not playing AA. They have already annouced that they will not opt up again.

They are still playing AA next season. When they new plan comes out in two years then they will be A if they don't opt up again.

St. Marys might be one of the worst teams next year. they would struggle in 9 man

The words "aren't cool" are substituted automatically for a less tasteful word.

Losing smith sounds like losing their whole team to me

yes smith saved them a couple times during the year in close game with 60 yard runs but as long as they don't rely on their running backs to have to produce these kinds of runs to win games they should be fine on offense knowing what they do offensively

Trinity will be "AA" this fall. Next year it's unlikely they will opt "up" due to expense. Nearly half the conference is over 200 miles away and this drives up expenses while gate receipts plummet because not many fans travel that far for "away" games. The student-athletes also miss too much class time because to many hours are spent traveling..

Shanley is going to dominate throughout the regular season and throughout the playoffs as they cruise to back to back Championships
