Went to WF-South game last night, expected it to be a good one, and it was.
WF attacked the ball very well. South seemed rattled at times, not used to good field play?
Both teams played well, WF with a much more physical approach that was very successful until the yellow cards came out (finally- it looked to have taken a serious looking South injury near halftime to get some control). Player never returned after carried off by 2 others- dragging a leg.
Both teams scored twice, both had second goal disallowed for offsides (WF clearly off by 15 yards, South-couldn't say, seemed OK- not off- from my perch).
Both teams too tired to play at games final 5-10 min. WF subs way more, but still out of gas too.
These look to be 2 good EDC teams this year if they get in shape for a whole game.

agreed. south did not play their best soccer thursday night and it showed. Missing key player matt keim (out with a knee injury, should be back in a week) really affected them i think. him and orson provide the best 2 forward combos in the state, no question. it should be different when west fargo goes to south however, all south players should be healthy. south also missing a key defender in tony wendorff thursday as well.

WF and south are definately the top teams in the east along with shanley, north, and central although
north and shanley seem to be inconsistent
haven't seen wf play till thursday night so they looked pretty good
they have some speed up top and at outside mid
lots of long balls to the outside and to the forwards
i've seen south play and they did not look like they usually do
they did not connect very well on there passes and through the midfield like they usually do

South just beat north 1-0, but by how much pressure south was putting on the entire game, it might as well been at least 3 or 4 nothing. north had absolutely no offense for the entire game, just clearing the ball out every time south pressured, and south would eventually just bring the pressure again.

wow. those GF games are suprising. Central is 3rd in EDC and RR is dead last. probably just a bad game on central's part...

you must have been at a different game? The 1st half was all south. the second half was even and very intense. neither team had a good shot on goal, the header for south was ok, nothing great. I did not look at the stats, I am guessing the shots on goal were about equal

i agree 1st half was all south they just couldn't finish
2nd half was much more equal but north didn't really create many chances
south didn't create as many in the second half but the ones they did create should have all been goals
south could have easily won 3 or 4 to 0 but if north would have tied it up
early in the half it would have been a close game

south ties shanley 2-2 -- possibly a return to form for shanley? looked like some of their injured players are finally back

i dont think so. South was losing one of the biggest parts of their team in Shawn Kahler and Tyler Richter, and still was able to control a lot of the 2nd half. it wouldve been much different if those two were in, i believe
