ummm, maybe the nba finals last year. they had a young team, and he helped them grow and mature. before last year kobe wanted out of the lakers, but as his team made progress, he grew to enjoy it. he did not just sit down and complain. he helped his team mature. some may argue pau made a great tcontribution, and he did. it takes a leader like kobe to blend everything together. last year kobe did not need to be the primary scorer any more.

Do you know the difference between a basketball player and an athlete? Josh Smith is a better athlete than Tim Duncan, for example. Not a better basketball player.
