best warmup songs

Postby project-pat » Thu Dec 27, 2007 3:38 pm

I think this might've been a topic already but I think it died. What are some of the best songs that get a team in the zone before a game, or the best songs for a team to run out to?

Heart of a Champion-Nelly

Blow Me Away-Breaking Benjamin

Remember The Name-Fort Minor

Whispers in the Dark-Skillet

The Pretender- Foo Fighters

We Takin' Over- DJ Khaled

Till I Collapse- Eminem

Lose Yourself- Eminem

Anybody have any others?

thunderstruck-ACDC and down with the sickness-disturbed would be good songs to run out onto the field/court

Sorry to all you young bucks out there, but there is nothing better than warming up to a great Pep Band.

I have heard lots of lousy ones and thats no fun, But if you get a good one, there is no contest, I don;t even care what they are playing

Completely agree, warming up in the St. Mary's gym back when they were good and running out the band playing the FInal Countdown. Beats anything anyone puts on speakers.

I remember a few years back at a District Tournament a pep band had a guitar section, and they played "Welcome to the Jungle" and "Smells Like Teen Spirit" - talk about getting kids pumped - I was in the stands, and I was ready to go.

How about "Wildside" by Motley Crue - or "Kickstart My Heart" - same band.
I know I'm showing my age - but those are good adrenaline songs.

Nothing like a pep band playing pretty much anything. Canned music is for the playground. Just my 2 pennies.

I like Ozzy's "I don't wanna stop" that song just rocks and it is an awesome tempo!

I also like when announcing the lineups (Beautiful People ~ M.Manson)
