Thompson upsets Grafton in the Region 2 semis, which means one of the big 3 in Region 2 (Grafton, Devils Lake, Four Winds) will not make it to state. Wild.

The two Region 2 games I watched last night seemed to be on completely different levels. Grafton must've earned the state #2 ranking somehow - they'll need to find that tomorrow or else they'll get blown off the floor by FWM.

Best Part of Class A is 75% of the teams can beat anyone.
Central Cass gave Kindred everything it could handle last night. CC packed it in and told Kindred that you will need to beat us from the outside shooting 3s. It threw Kindred off for sure...

Its not like you cant simply search in YouTube and watch 95% of a teams games these days, do some research. Grafton has split with 4 winds and Devils Lake.
It is a little harder to motivate kids I guess because they’ve been pampered so much. We’re in the trophy generation, give ‘em a trophy for 23rd place, make ‘em feel good. Make mom and dad feel good.” Tom Izzo, Michigan State Basketball

The worst thing last night was to win between Valley and Wahp..... Now Valley has a better chance of going to state than Wahp....

Wahp has to either beat Kindred or Grafton or Four Winds.....

Valley has to beat CC and Thompson....

I'm going to say that 3 teams from Region 2(Devils Lake/Thompson/Four Winds) make it to state. If Grafton wins I'll say they go as well. In fact, I'd go so far as to say that 5 of the top 6 teams from region 2 would finish second in region 1. Region 2 is stacked this year.

HCV lost to Wahpeton this season but did beat Central Cass (in OT), Valley City (tight), Oak Grove & Lisbon (15+) this season...HCV would be more 'in the mix' in R1 then they were in R2.

Still think OG/Carrington could have been a really good game for both teams. R1 coaches didn't run up those scores like R2 teams did to Carrington.

That is impossible by the way. Either Grafton or Four Winds make it. Both Can not.

I know. What I was stating was - If Four Winds beats Grafton, they'll beat the #2 seed from region 1.

Grafton beats Four Winns. Deng held to only 13 points. It was tough to watch on TV. They just weren't themselves. Feel bad for Deng, the kid is a true baller. Their season is done.

Devils Lake wins it but good grief the defense is just not what I would think it would be with that much talent.

I agree with you....They did not look the same. Give them credit however, they competed hard, even without Deng. They didn't have the outside threat like they have had in years past. Tremendous program, culture and coach.

All games last night were competitive.

Kindred VS Wahp was a very good game. Very physical game with some hard fouls. Kindred took over in the 4th quarter was all Kindred but the first 3 were a toss up. Hard to believe the little guards of Wahp were scoring over and rebounding with the much larger Kindred guards.

Devils Lake and Thompson was a good game. Thompson is playing great and after watching last night ... I am changing my vote to Thompson taking VC.

Four Winds-Minnewaukan was down a key injury (per the YLE broadcast; Nestell - Senior - injury).
