at the moment all I'm able to say is that District 2 will be the stronger of the two districts (by far).

give me a till this weekend and I can have a decent analysis for all teams in the region...

I assume you mean district 2 will be better. I remember you posting there were a lot of good young teams in D2 (NC, Kindred, OG).

my point is that of the four teams from District 1 that will make regionals...I don't think any of them will win at Regionals...

What is your order for those teams then Run?

1. Kindred
2. Central Cass

3. Oak Grove
4. Northern Cass (Milnor has the outside shot of being #4 in the Region)

Run
explain why you have Kindred over CCass? Like Beach last year until someone beats them they are #1 in the district. Another interesting thing is both Kindred and CCass will have new coaches.

Kindred returns everyone...Central Cass is going to have to replace some key players. That's my reasoning for putting Kindred #1.

I agree that Kindred will be tough. CC will be a big contender, but it will be tougher to fill the coaching spot at CC than at Kindred.

Who is new Kindred coach? Heard CCHS has Ryan Mears as new coach. I think this should be very competitive match-up. CCHS seems to match up even better with Kindred this year because they should be able to run the floor and be more athletic than the past? Thoughts?

Perry Piatz is the NEW Kindred head coach...he was there assistant last season.

see that's tough to do since I don't have access to much...the District is kinda in three tiers; but this is what I would say for District 2:

1. Kindred
2. Central Cass

3. Oak Grove
4. Northern Cass
5. Richland

6. FSHP
7. Maple Valley
8. Enderlin

District 1 is wide open. Lidgerwood-Wyndmere would be the favorite IMO, they bring back the most of any team there.

Milnor loses a lot with Tompkins and crew, but bring back some talent (McCloud, Halvorson, and Ellefson.)

FCT is starting over after losing Church and Campbell.

Look for Lisbon to improve. They had no seniors last season, and have some decent younger talent.

Not sure about Oakes. New coach coming in, and Warren is the only real contributor returning from last season.

North Sargent depends on how Riley Peterson comes back from her knee injury. Sorlie is a solid coach, don't know how much he'll have to work with.

Hankinson and Sargent Central are down.

Kindred vs. Central Cass next Thursday during Courts Plus league - should be an interesting matchup!

I agree, Oak Grove and Northern Cass are still a year or two away from being able to compete at the top of the district.

I've been informed that Kindred WON'T be at full strength that night...so it won't quite be the matchup that is wished upon.

3. Oak Grove
4. Northern Cass
5. Richland

6. Maple Valley
7. FSHP
8. Enderlin

some summer league games and the progress (or lack there of) of some of the players since the end of last season. I still think Central Cass and Kindred are heads-and-tails better than the rest of the district

R4F, I saw you moved up Maple Valley from your initial rankings I'm assuming you saw them play? What are your thoughts on their 8th grader (can't remember name) they have?

I think that Nudell will lead them out of the district "cellar"...she changes Maple Valley's whole dynamic on the court.

This may sound over the top and I've only followed girls basketball closely for maybe the last 6-7 years, but I think she is the best 8th grader I've ever seen. Most (all) of the 8th graders I've seen in the past are usually just role players at the varsity level, but I have to think she is legit all district material next year.
