Region 1 is up for grabs IMO.
No particular order
CC
OG
Kindred
Richland (Johnson)
Milnor

IMO...Kindred has to be the favorites..they really don't lose anything.

1. Kindred
2. Central Cass
3. Milnor
4. Richland
5. Oak Grove
6. Northern Cass
7. Wyndmere-Lidgerwood
8. ??? let's say Oakes

Won't OG be better? I thought they were fairly young this year. Holt was only an eight grader right?

Holt was a freshman...they lose Selisker and she was a BIG part of the team. #3 through #7 could finish anywhere.

Kindred girls sure did not look ready for tourney atmosphere at districts and regionals this year? they will have to step up if they truely are going to compete with the rest of the teams in the region. Oak Grove has lots of young talent that may or may not come together and CC has three starters returning with many of younger up and coming players. (their JV was only beaten once i think?) should be fun to watch! can't wait!!

The biggest asset for CC is the coach. She turned a very soft program into what it is today. How long will she stay with her daughter going off to play for MSUM?

I don't think she stays very long.

She could do what her husband Tim did after their son Calvin graduated and coach one more year. I believe that is highly probably, but I would like to see her keep coaching she has done a great job at CC.

My guess it will depend on if Taylor redshirts at MSUM next year or not.

From what I heard today is that Barb has stepped down as head coach. Don't know much more at this time.

It is not a possibility it is a fact she is done. All good things come to an end! Her replacement walks into a great situation-3 returning starters and great depth in the program.

I've heard its still in the family though...more than likely her successor is her daughter-in-law (JV coach).

Really? I guess that would surprise me. She lives and works in Fargo. She no longer has a family connection to the team and I would think she would want to watch Taylor play at MSUM as well. I wonder when we'll find out...

That would surprise me as well. Hope CC thinks through the ALL possibilites and makes the right choice, because the replacement does get a fantastic returning team.

Region 6
1. Minot Ryan (took third in the region, started a senior, sophomore, two freshman and an eighthgrader...also returns its entire bench.)
2. Velva (loses key seniors, but had very deep bench with girls who know how to win)
3. TGU (Should give Velva a great battle and could overtake them. Returns four starters and bench from young team)
4. Bottineau (made regionals, brings back entire starting five).
5. Our Redeemer's (returns three quality players in Van Lith, Koppinger and Rademacher)
6. Rugby (took fourth in region, all-region Aubrey Hovland and Leigha Schmaltz return)
7. Surrey (lots of varsity experience from Leah Parizek and Kayle Schiele)
8. M-L-S (always has a good program, very good up and coming class that will be sophomores)
9. Kenmare (Returns 2 shooters in Munson and Barnhardt, but its thin after that, but defense won't be great)
10. DL-B (Started a couple of quality freshmen this year and plays pretty good defense)
11. Westhope
12. Dunseith
13. Berthold
14. Glenburn
15. Sawyer and Drake-Anamoose (it's a tie)

New Town went 2-1 against Stanley this year. Stanley beat them in the District Tny......I don't think there is a team around that has put more time than them in this summer (new town)
