Picking Central Cass as #1 is even more likely with the addition of Hankinson's best player from last year. (Geffre) They were going to be loaded without her. Look out for the Squirrels!

Get your information correct...Its not Geffre that plays for Central Cass now (she graduated) Its the Titus sisters (Carmen and Morgan)

Central Cass plays Hankinson Monday night in a double-header. The girls game is a rematch of last year's Region 1 championship game. Should be fun to watch the Titus girls play against their former team.

Probably... but Hankinson has been a thorn in the side of the Squirrels for the past couple of years, so it would be still be fun to beat them this year.

Hard to have any rivalries there...

No drama to report. It was actually nice to see the girls hug and do their high fives once the game was over. Alot of the past players and a former coach was there to also watch. They are friends and continue to be that way and that was very noticable.

There was definitely much more of a rivalry the past few years over this game than this year, even with the Titus girls playing for Central Cass. I felt bad for the Hankinson players (Stein and others??) who were members of last years team that was so good, and now they are part of a team that is so bad. It's got to be a big disappointment for them.

Now, as far as rivalries and transfers, when the CC boys play Kindred (Tanner Kretchman transferred last year reportedly so he could play varsity as an 8th grader), that will be intense!

Oak Grove 62
North Sargent 53

Logan Selisker had 26 points and Tatum Holt had 13 assists for the Grovers in Gwinner.

How did the Titus girls do? Do they start? I wouldn't think there would be too much drama on Hankinson's end since the family moved in the best interest of reducing commuting for the family, but how has the CC parents been in accepting talented players who were unexpected?

Neither one starts, although I would expect Carmen will at some point in the season. Morgan gets in at the end of the games and plays mostly on JV. We have a deep squad with 3 juniors playing on JV (25 girls out for BB in HS total). Carmen is definitely a great addition to the team... she is a hustler and works really hard at defense. She gets some great steals and passes really well. When they first moved to Casselton, I think there was a lot of hesitation about them taking spots away from girls that were already there, which hasn't happened. Of course we haven't had any challenging games either so everyone has played. The girls all get along well and it helped to have the VB season first, where even though Carmen didn't get to play much, she was still part of the team, cheering them on. I think pretty much everyone is happy with how things are going.

That's good to hear that its working out for the girls. Sometimes the drama and politics can get pretty bad. CC has a great coach and her all-state daughter is a senior so you would think she can actually coach to win the title.

I do believe there has been some positions that the Titus girls have taken away from others but it has not been to bad of a transition.

Enderlin @ Oak Grove has been Postponed from Friday, December 17th to Monday, February 7th. This postponement is in response to the death of a student at Enderlin earlier this week.

Lisbon should be pretty good out of region 1. They might have started out rough but with Sarah Carlson, the tall stud, they should rebound well score and might take region 1.
