Coaching Changes?

Heard Flyberg resigned from coaching in Linton. Any truth to this? Reasons?

Yes he did last Thursday, he was getting some heat from a couple board members. He will continue to be the Elementary principle.

Coach Flyberg will definitely be missed. He was one of the best coaches in the State and has the numbers to prove it. It will be interesting to see if his long time assistant Pat Gerving gets the job or if Rich Bjerklie of Hazelton is interested in it. He has done a good job with the HMB program the last few years. Either way, it won't be the same watching a Linton Lady Lions game next year. Good luck to Coach Flyberg and I hope he enjoys his extra free time.
I'm sure some will say good riddance and take this time to find faults with Flyberg because that seems to be all some people come to this site for, but the man was a great coach and deserves to be respected for what he has accomplished in his career.

Really, hadn't heard that. If thats the case then Pat Gerving is the logical choice to replace Flyberg.

John Ward will go from the assistant boys job in Carrington to the head girls job in Hazen. He will also be the head track coach there.

Don't know where she went I guess she just left. Don't know if let go or on her own.
