I know my pick might be a huge stretch for some to buy into, but I have a daughter that plays BB so I watch entirely to much girls basketball lol. I have watched NS play 8 times this year, CC 3 times and Hankinson 4 times. Havent seen Oak Grove play though, but NS is peaking at the right time.. Watch out for the Bobcats and coach Sorlie. Also I graduated from NS (not living there now) so I might be a bit blinded, but Im trying to be open minded lol.

Hey, anything is possible. Don't think the other predictions are without bias, either.

Agreed. The best way to shake up the Region is for teams to watch top contenders fall. Now everyone thinks they have a shot, and have nothing to lose. I have always thought this is the toughest region in the state to come out of because many teams have faced each other a couple of times, and coaching becomes a big factor. That NS-OG game could be very interesting.

Haven't seen NS play since early in the year, but I was at the District 2 tournament all 3 nights, Mikayla Forness for OG looked really strong shooting the ball, if she shows up again Monday night and Holt and Selisker also are on it could make for a very exciting game

That is a surprise, but that late game can always be weird. I guess I will stick with my original pick of Hankinson. They are putting up a lot points (even in their district loss to NS), and they can play tough defense. Plus the tournament is in Wahpeton...the commute can get surprisingly tiring for Central Cass.

Coach K for coach of the year! Didn't they only win a couple games last year?

congrats to milnor on the huge upset...it would be fun to see them win a few more and to also have a milnor north sargent matchup in the championship although i dont beleive that will happen. I am thinking a hankinson 3 peat is on its way, especially with fshp going down tonight, with all 3 championships coming with a win over central cass. Hankinson just seems like the team that central cass can just not beat. Good luck to all the remaining teams and i hope this tournament is one to go down in the history books.

What is their record this year? I don't think its anything great, but they must be peaking at the right time. What seed were they for the district tourney?

I'm not sure of their record, but they were the # 4 seed going into the District 1 tourney, and the #4 seed from that district going into the Region 1 tourney.
