Wouldnt games 7 and 8 have the winners from 5 and 6 not losers? Anyway here are my predictions. I think I have it all lined up right.
CC over MV
OG over Enderlin
FSHP over NC
Kindred over Richland

Enderlin over MV
NC over Richland

CC over OG
FSHP over Kindred

OG over Enderlin

No you have it wrong...cause if OG were to beat Enderlin and then lose to CC than they would be cross-bracketed to the bottom half of the losing bracket.

Here is an example from last year's district tourney (this should clear this up): http://www.wyndmere.k12.nd.us/Web/html/ ... 202009.pdf

Enderlin wins 45-44. Oak Grove's Holt fouled for possession at 42-41 Grovers with 10 seconds left. Holt throws the ball off of Enderlin's Thielges' back after the foul. Called for a technical. Holt hit both free throws (10th foul on Enderlin before the technical) Lead 44-41. Megan Trautmann hits back end of technical only. 44-42. Enderlin inbounds at half court (technical was in Enderlin front court). Finger hits a three off the inbounds pass with three seconds left for the win 45-44.

Thielges foul, could have and probably should have been an intentional foul. The 3 man referee crew was out of sync and place most of the night. Poorly officiated both ways. Enderlin hits a bomb 3 (5 feet behind 3pt line) to pull one out of their yo know whats.

It was 5 feet beyond the CBA line in the Civic Center...it had to be about a 28-30 foot shot!

From my vantage point, it looked like a clean foul. The OG girl looked like she was claiming her jerzee was pulled.

Not gonna comment on the officiating, since I'll just get lambasted anyway, but I think I can say this without catching the wrath: I saw the first three games. The crew working the first and third games clearly had a different look at the game than the crew in the second. Not gonna say it's right or wrong, but I will say it's really hard to compare the two side by side and say that the game is the same. I'll throw the CC vs. MV game out. The END vs. OG game and the FSHP vs. NC game were both primed to be pretty good games. There were a ton of whistles in the END vs. OG game, and hardly any in the FSHP vs. NC game. Both games saw a lot of minutes of full court pressure, traps, and ball pressure. They were basically the same style. Anyone got any feedback on the differences/similarities between games two and three?

The first game against Maple Valley was just bad. They lost Smith during the season and the rest of the players are not scorers. Especially against an awesome CC team. Enderlin at least has people who put the ball through the hoop on a somewhat regular basis. Not trying to talk crap about MV but they dont have much.

No Maple Valley is just too young...they even struggled against Oak Grove today scoring only 17 points (2 in the first quarter).

They are young, but have some good players in the lower grades that are pretty talented that will help their program in a few years. Their former coach didn't leave them with ANY experience (except Smith) before taking the asst. VC job. Ironically, Maple Valley did beat VC this year in overtime.

Unless McDaniel had some sort of control over the genetics of the Maple Valley student body...pretty sure he has nothing to do with Maple Valley's struggles.
They're a smaller school going through a rough cycle. Just not alot of great athletes right now.
However, you have to give those kids props---I thought they played hard throughout the district tournament--even with those lopsided losses. Speaks loud about their character.

I picked FSHP to win District 2, but I am somewhat surprised it came through. Any insights on the game? My guess is that they kept Kraft out of the paint.

Kraft struggled in the first half but came on in the 4th quarter. FSHP was just hitting there shots for the first three quarters and then hit a "buzz-saw" in the 4th where they were held to 4 points because of poor shot selection and poor FT shooting. Montag hits game-winning FTs with 4 seconds left on the clock. Kraft nearly hits half-court shot at buzzer...just off the rim. It was a great game...ALL 3 games yesterday were close, intense games...probably the best final day of District 2 basketball that I have seen.

Enderlin was down 38-28 with about 2 minutes to go and comes back to win. Richland had a chance to tie it from the FT line with no time on the clock, but the first FT rattled in and out.

Oak Grove's Mikayla Forness came out firing on all cylinders hitting her first 4 shots and scoring 9 of the team's 11 points early. Oak Grove was able to hit enough shots down the stretch and hit enough FTs to pull out the win. It will be their first Region qualification since 2004.

This game came down to who had a better night. FSHP came out strong and CC did not. FSHP had just enough in the tank to hold CC back.
