Wasn't at the game but have seen Max play (full court press, fast break and shoot the three ball). If you can handle their press and they have a cold shooting night almost anyone could beat them.

Both Region qualifier games were settled early. Washburn beat Garrison by about 30. Underwood handled Max by 30. TLM beat Sheridan County by around 10 for the title.

Garrison is a tough team to figure out - play well 1 night and poorly the next. Both Sheridan County and Max looked gassed by night three (just not enough bench). Wonder why they don't change up the tourney dates like other districts to Friday, Saturday and Monday. Gives the teams that one day break to recover a bit. Good luck to our region qualifiers. Here's hoping we don't roll over and turn all the games over to district 9 the first night like last year.

Is that your excuse because your team lost?

What????????????? We beat max and I actually kind of felt bad for them. You could tell their legs were gone on night number three (everything they shot was falling short). What I said about splitting the dates would have actually helped the team we played for the region qualifier. Maybe you read something else into it but I'm not quite sure how you could have - guess if you're looking to start an argument you might want to read a little more carefully so at least you make sense.

Mastermind13 wrote:What I see about underwood is that all you have to do is double team Dammon because she doesn't want to pass to anybody. All she's worried about is her stats. She should have been passing it into Auk. I guess Coach Cottingham doesn't care if she wins or not other wise she would have done something about it. Double team Dammon and Auk and let the others go cause they can't shoot that well, Also take the charge on Dammon cause she always goes to the basket and doesn't stop or pass to the other players.

Whoa - Dammann led our team in assists this year and TLM took Auck out of her game with a very physical double team (was a way more physical game then when we played earlier in the year). We did shoot poorly as a team that night (21.4%) but you have to give TLM credit for playing a good game on both ends of the court.

Cometdad - Don't waste your time with the "mastermind". Clearly just a sad little man who has some kind of personal beef with a coach and a 17 YO kid. To add to your point though, Crystal has led the team in assists for the past 3 years I think. Before I go I just want to break down the logic of the "mastermind" because I'm still laughing about it. According to his post Underwood's team consists of: 1 big girl, 1 out of control ball hog, a bunch of kids who can't shoot, and a coach who doesn't care about winning. Yet somehow has managed to win 18 games. It's a miracle. Maybe I just don't get it because I'm not a "mastermind".

woah---First off don't be blaming other people for posts for which they did not post on here...second its not cool to come on this site and bash highschool players and coaches. Some players come on this site and read what ya'll have to say about them. Iv have experienced it last year and thought it was actually comical, but some other people may not, so please leave your personal comments about others to yourself..and finally.. act like adults..not ur shoe size!!! PS.. GO COMETS :)

To mastermind and NDFan09. Making foolish comments like that only gets innocent people in trouble and to NDFan09 you better know who the heck your talking to before you start spouting off a name that had nothing to do with this.
