I would say FSHP should not be so high, at least Hankinson should be ranked higher than them I feel.

Agreed. FSHP hasn't beaten anyone that is good and they lost to an average Northern Cass team by 15 (they did avenge that loss later) and lost to Central Cass by 20. Maybe because they beat Central Valley??

I don't understand Central Valley being up there either.

I have not been able to see Beach play this year, are they as good as everyone says? I have heard the term "walk through state" alot about them. Can someone tell me about their team?

I haven't seen them player either, but from what I've been told they do have a go to scorer 15-20/game and 4 others than will also give you 10-15/game. You see them often in the 70's and even 80's. Unlike Standing Rock where long will put up 35 and the rest of the team will put up 40. Beach's downfall is they are not in an area where you can travel for better competition. So that could be their demise in the long run.

They don't have to go anywhere for better compeition... they play in the best region of the state this year... 3 teams in the poll and two more receiving votes... And they've beat all of them except for Hazen I believe... and they play them Saturday...

I saw them play against Ray earlier in the year and they just ran away with it... not saying Ray is anything great but they did what they should have done to a team that wasn't anywhere near them talent wise... they put them away early and got good experience for some young girls that might be needed down the road...their JV also won 89-13 or something... it was ridiculous... Waldahl can flat out coach and as long as he's there they're going to be an elite team IMO...

I also was at the Ray - Beach game. Beach is the best time I have seen this year, but they had trouble with Ray's best player Sam Heier in that game in the second half. In the first have Ray's best 2 players were in foul trouble and the game got out of hand, 33 to 9 at half. Second half with 4 minutes to go it was a 11 point game, Ray had them on there heals a bit, had them calling time outs. The game ended at 15 points, when Ray lost one of there best players with 3 minutes to go. Beach played 8 players in that game. Ray is not in the class of team that Beach is but that night the played them fairly well considering they were down 25 at half due to foul trouble.

Beach is a tough team and when they host Hazen they will come out ahead but don't expect to see them dominate in Regionals they do not play well on Trinity's floor at all

they have not played Killdeer this year due to the weather

Have they rescheduled? when does Beach play Killdeer?

I remember the foul trouble in the Ray game but Beach also went away from their press in the second half and played more of a half court game. I've been impressed with Ray at times this year and at other times i shake my head wondering whats going on... Heier is Heier and teams always have one person chasing and another helping at all times... if she gets hot and the other girls can make their layups consistently... they could do some damage during tournament time...

NorthDakota11, I would have to agree with your last post completely. Ray is a young team and it is hard to figure out if they all show up each night. Heier is Heier, but could use a post with some experience to help score and defend. They have trouble stopping a post team.

Is Bottineau maybe back in the Region 6 mix? Tonight, Bottineau 53-Kenmare 39. Westhope/Newburg has to be the favorite at the moment. They beat both Bottineau and Kenmare. Nothing seems cut and dried here.

I apologize if that is completely wrong. I honestly thought I saw it on the late news last night, but haven't seen anything today.
