I would with all due respect, put flasher's chances at 0% to beat Standing Rock. Flasher is big inside, with a weakness at their guard positions. I also thought too that New Salem would pull the upset against the Rock, but I am not as confident they could do the same thing to them like they did last year. I just don't see the Rock shooting so poorly they end up in the 40's. There is no team in the region that can stay with the Rock if the score is in the 60's or above. I would say the Rock's biggest threat will be a cold shooting night. It can happen, as it does on every level. Standing Rocks weakness earlier in the year appeared to be no defense. Well, it appears they have definitely fixed that.

Standing Rock-59, Flasher 41..
end of the first quarter the score was 19-5, Standing Rock's Ryan White Bull was out of the game due to an injury in the first quarter. With her i believe the score would've been a little higher...Underwood, Washburn could probably give Standing Rock a run, but like last year, they're not going to take any team lightly.

I see the weather this past weekend and Monday caused the postponement of several District games for Districts 9 & 10. Anybody have some info as to when they have been rescheduled for. Thanks.

1. TLM - most balanced team there.
2/3. Washburn - not as potent as I thought they'd be (without Clayton playing).
2/3. Underwood - might suprise some people this year.
4. Max - talented but just not deep enough and you could really see it by night number three.
5. Garrison - was really suprised by how hard they worked.
6. Wilton - didn't look too good but if they improve as much as they did over the course of the volleyball season they could move up a bunch.
?. Sheridan County - not at this tourney so not sure where they'll fit in.

Anyone else?

Underwood wont be number 3 in the district. I thought max was better then them. I think max might be better than Washburn.

Big Show with a huge swing and a miss - here's how district 10 ended up.
1. Underwood
2. Washburm
3. Max
4. TLM
5. Wilton
6. Sheridan County
7. Garrison

Some late upsets have really impacted the seedings for the District 10 tournament. The way I see it, it should end up on of two ways (there's still a Sheridan County / Garrison makeup game yet to be played)

1. Underwood (6-0)
2. Max (4-2)
3. Wilton (3-3)
4. Washburn (3-3)

if Sheridan County wins - then it would be:

5. TL-M (2-4)
6. Sheridan County (2-4)
7. Garrison (1-5)

if Garrison wins - then it would be:

5. Garrison (2-4)
6. TL-M (2-4)
7. Sheridan County (1-5)

With the SC's upset over Washburn last night, district 10 is a complete crap shoot. With the exception of Underwood any of the remaining 6 teams could end up in the championship game and I don't think any teams in this district have blown out another so a good night for one of the bottom 3 teams could also upset the Comets. It will be an interesting Dist 10 tournament. Does anyone know what day it starts? I know all districts start next week but I think some first round play games start Thu. and some Fri.

First round matchups starting Feb. 22 @ 3:00 - Mandan High School

Standing Rock vs. Washburn - 3:00
this one could be interesting if Washburn shoots the ball decent - Don't get me wrong I think Standing Rock will win, but on the right night anything is possible

Sheridan County vs. New Salem - 4:30
My initial choice is New Salem, but would not be surprised if SC gets hot for a stretch and pulls off the win - SC has several streaky shooters and if the get on a roll look out - I look for Wolf to have a big game inside for NS

Grant County vs. Underwood - 6:00
I like Underwood in this one, but they will need to contain Bentz - Underwood got balanced scoring from their role players in their qualifier against Max - they will need this to do well in this tournament.

Turtle Lake vs. Flasher
Most interesting matchup of the first round. TL played a very good tournament after not always doing that during the season - so which team will make the trip to Regionals. Flasher matches up well with TL's size. I think it will come down to who controls the boards and which team can make a few perimeter shots.

Standing Rock, New Salem, Underwood, and TL-M??or Flasher in Round 1,

Standing Rock well, they're going to come prepared, look for Long and White Bull to do a little bit of everything for SR, but they have other players capable of shooting and rebounding...

New Salem, also knows what it takes to win! They have Wolf who could be a big help inside, and if i can remember they can shoot the outside well?? but wouldn't be surprised if Sheridan County can pull off a win....

Underwood, despite their overtime loss to Turtle-Lake Mercer in District 10 semi's, they know they cant repeat the same mistakes, but if Grant County can contain Dammen and Auck, i think it could a be a good game, probably come down to last seconds, and didn't these two teams play last year in the first round with Grant County pulling off the upset by 2 points??

Flasher and Turtle Lake-Mercer, could be anybodys guess but i'll take Flasher, they're big on the inside and if they can rebound and shoot the ball decent, but TL-M knows about upsets and might end up beating Flasher..

Technically the "upset" would be Flasher over TLM.

I'm sure he/she did a tremendous job, but are you really arguing against a coach that has been to state 6 or 7 times and has probably won more games than all but a hand full of active coaches. Makes sense.

The Underwood-Turtle Lake-Mercer game is going to be good game. Both teams want to advance to Region 5 title game. "TL-M, wants a go at state" lol

Yeah...wow...am guessing the same team that upset 3 teams for the dist 10 title did not show up for their first round tournament game....????? All in all looked like a lot of nerves and sloppy play from every team in Region 5 yesterday. No one really stood out as a state tournament caliber team but SR still has the best chance with too many scoring threats.
