Region 2 at the Betty

Postby sport » Sun Feb 22, 2009 4:50 pm

Who wins Monday and why? My picks:

FLPR over Thompson. But, if Thompson plays like they did against DP, FLRP had better watch out.
CV over North Border. I don't know much about NB, but I seem to Recall CV beating them earlier.
Grafton over Hatton-Northwood. If H-N shuts down there big girl could be a different game.
Hillsboro over Midway Minto. I am sure Hillsboro would like a little revenge over the questionable late foul called last year.

FLPR, Grafton, and Central Valley all won tonight didn't stay for Hillsboro Midway Minto game so I don't know who won that one. FLPR and Central Valley play first game tomorrow and Grafton plays winner of Hillsboro - Midway Minto game.

I'm totally opposite of you on this one. I'm taking Grafton and FLPR :)

Should be a fun night of basketball on Tuesday. I was impressed by Graftons young aggressive gaurds, should be a good matchup for the evensons. I will pick FLPR in a nail biter, and Hillsboro by 7.

FLPR over Central Valley 59-43, sounded like a good game as of listening to it online.

What time roughly is the championship game supposed to start? Is there any chance the game gets PPD?

I am guessing that the championship game should start sometime after 7:30, and would hope the game stays scheduled to keep the boys games from conflicting.

The first quarter FLPR lead 10-7, both teams struggled a bit in the beginning to get their offenses going. Early in the second quarter FLPR extended their lead to 11 before Hillsboro fought back and the score was 23-19 in favor of FLPR at halftime. The third quarter was back and forth the whole way there were 6 ties in the 3rd quarter, and at the end of 3 the score was tied at 34. The 4th quarter Hillsboro was able to take the lead a few times but never more than 2 points. The deciding factor was in the final 2 minutes when FLPR went on a 10-1 run to finish the game, including Katie Ralston's 6-6 from the free throw line in the final 32 seconds of the game. the last 2 minutes is really what cost hillsboro the game they just weren't having their shots fall. this was a very good game to watch, definetly made it an exciting game for everyone. Congrats to the FLYERS
