CLASS B REGIONAL PAIRINGS
The top four teams from each of the sixteen Class B Districts will advance to their respective Regional Tournament. First round
matches at each Class B Region will be in one session beginning at 3:00 p.m. Each subsequent game will begin 20
minutes after completion of the previous game.

Hankinson and F-C-T in the championship game for region....close nail biter but I think F-C-T will win their 4th and final match-up! But, if F-C-T comes out flat first round and doesn't play team ball, F-S-H-P could have a good chance at pulling an upset! Should be an interesting tournament!!!

Cody Geffre sank two foul shots with 12 seconds remaining to help defending region champion Hankinson hold on for a 54-48 victory against Northern Cass in the North Dakota Class B, Region 1 girls basketball semifinals Tuesday at the Fargo Civic Center.

The Pirates (21-3) play Central (21-3) at around 7:40 p.m. Thursday for the region championship, a rematch of last year's region title game.

The Squirrels (21-3) will play for the Region 1 championship on Thursday night.

Should be a great championship game. Central Cass is firing on all cylinders and I'm sure remembers last years championship game. Hankinson is winning but not all that pretty. Not sure wether their collapse last night was just pressure getting to them or, dare I say, lack of coaching. Northern Cass made some adjustments down the stretch and Hankinson didn't. Of course missing 10 free throws in a row didn't help.
The only disappointment I've seen this year at the tournament, and I've seen all the games, isn't with the teams but a certain group of fans.
Enough about that, too bad to see Fairmount lose last night. Those girls have worked hard and definetly deserve to move on, but you still need to play the game. An interesting little unknown fact is that outside of Hankinson that was Fairmount's first loss in 45 games. That's a pretty good stretch and definitely worth metioning.
Good luck to both teams Thursday night and I know either of them will represent Region One well at the state tournament, (but how about the fans??)

Wow. Thought this was a sight to to express our thoughts. I'm not 'complaining' about anybody. Just posting things I've seen. If any of it is untrue then I apologize. These are only my thoughts and my opinion.
The tournament has had some great games and I expect 2 more tomorrow nite as will most of the regions. Good luck to both the Squirrels and Pirates, as I said before either one of those teams will represent Region One very well.

They will play the Region 1 3rd place and championship games tomorrow night and push the boys District 2 games back to saturday, monday, tuesday the way it sounds.
