Who will win between NR-S and Carrington?

Postby sportsgirl2829 » Sat Dec 06, 2008 1:50 pm

NR-S has alot of fast guards on the team and is agressive but only Lommen adds height to the team. They crack under pressure alot of the times though. Cgtn has very nice guards with two 6' girls that add to the score board. Who will win when these two teams battle it out?

I haven't seen Carrington play yet this year, but NRS is looking pretty good early. NRS also has Gisi, so they have two pretty good sized posts. There guards are so quick on defense and good handling the ball it makes them tough to beat. I'd have to watch Carrington play a couple times to take a guess on who will come out on top. It should be a great game when these two teams match up.

The #4-ranked New Rockford-Sheyenne Rockets managed to hold on for a very hard-fought 64-62 victory over previously unbeaten Carrington in the CHS gym Monday night, December 22, to move their record to 6-0 on the season. NR-S senior guard Shelby Wetzel hit an eight-foot runner on the left side of the lane with 1.4 seconds left to give the Rockets the win after the Cardinals tied the game with a three-pointer just seconds earlier. It was a back and forth affair all night, as both teams had seven-point leads at points in the game.

Wetzel finished with 19 points, and was one of four Rockets in double figures. Ashley Hetle had 25 points (including four three-pointers) and Kali Kurtz had 17 to lead the Cardinals.

Both teams played with a tremendous amount of heart and determination, and it wouldn't surprise me if they play two more times before the season is over.

Heard it was a great game to be at. Great shooting from both teams. Both above 50% shooting. Don't see that very often.
