But what do you do if you are a coach and you are already playing the end of your bench? Do you tell them not to shoot anymore, or do you just have them do what they are told every day in practice, keep running the offense and look for the open shot? That is an extreme case, but I have a hard time believing the winning coach would take any pleasure in seeing that score.

If i team won 95-9 it obviously wasn't a case of the coach just wanting to humiliate the other team, no coach wants to embarass a team that badly. And in response to NDSportsfan, you can tell your team to run a motion offense such as flex, and set the limit that they have to run it through 4-5 cycles before they can shoot. This would be good game sitiuation practice for your reserves, and would help to prepare the for the crunch time when you needed them to perform.

Is this a misprint? who did they play?

Carrington did win 95-9. They played Central Prairie in the first round of the Stutsman tournament.

How long did they play there starters i know that Central Prairie isnt good at all but to score 95 points in GBB is unreal and only giving up 9 on top of it.

There Starters were takin out 2 min into the 3rd about!! after that the whole bench play'd an there bench includes younger players i just dont understand how a team can be so bad!! then yet Carrington wins in the semi's by 44

From the looks of the score, I'd guess that Carrington never even had to get into a set offense. The CP guards probably turned the ball over every time they were met at half court, even against shadow defense. The Carrington guards were probably loving the garbage time baskets too much to even pay attention to the coach. Not that I have any idea what happened, I'm just speculating. Who can resist garbage time?

Minnetonka enrollment 9-12 is 2698 (one of the largest in the state of MN)
Hankinson enrollment 7-12 is 156

Does anybody else think this is weird?

When was this played? I ask because the forum also has Minnetonka playing Shanley last night winning 58-52. I also know that Minnetonka's JV played Fargo Souths Friday night.

Their student body population is about 2 and half times the entire population of Hankinson. They should be able to find 5 good players to put on the court. They are currently 5-2 overall.

Looks like the reason is clear why they played in this area, the coach is. Bart Inninger. That would be the former standout at Fargo South and also NDSU. Nice gesture by Bart to bring his team to North Dakota.

I disagree. Why? Because when you start "toying" around with a teams inability to defend you by playing cat and mouse you start to embarrass that team worse than playing your bench, straight up, no pressing, no zone trapping etc... Nothing is worse to see than a team running around no scoring on purpose on another team until that "specific" time and then probably laughing about it and feeling proud about holding the ball and scoring at precisely that time you want.

Totally different game this time with Central Cass looking good and coming out on top! Unfortunately, the first game between the two teams a couple of weeks ago (NC won by 12) is the one that counts towards district standings.

Hillsboro came out ready to play. FLPR had some trouble making their shots. Towards the end of the game Hillsboro let go of their lead a little bit but eventually regained it. Joelle Evenson had 21 and Doeden had 22. Ralston had 16 and Erickson had 22 i believe.
