Number 5 Grafton plays number 6 Fordville Lankin Park River Thursday night in Grafton should be a good one. I'm gonna go with Grafton winning.

Hillsboro smoked Northern Cass tonight - 49-36. Wasn't that close, Burros had a 21 point lead in the 4th quarter. Burros' record goes to 8-2.

I still don't see how HMB isn't in the top 10 with their 20 point thrashing of TLM who is in the top 10 and their victory over Steele-Dawson, another top 10 team.

i would be interested in seeing how many points the teams that are just "receiving votes" actually get if that would be possible

HMB should get some respect in next weeks poll. The hard part is who do you knock down? Probably Dakota Prairie w/2 losses. The polls are just polls- the real election starts in February!

Looks like N. Cass could lose their spot, losing to Hillsboro last night.

Half the teams on this list are from 2 regions (#1 & #2). Do many of you think that the west gets an unfair shake or does this poll accurately represent the best teams in the state? I've already seen one comment on HMB deserving to be mentioned.

I don't think is is an unfair shake but not all sports writers are interested in all parts of the state as they are of their area. They only get box scores to go off of from other areas so it is tough for them to get a real representation of all the teams. It is teams like HMB or Carrington that do derserve a little more recognition but it is those same teams that would rather prove it during tournament time and show they deserved more recognition during the year.

well it is just a pole.
when you are a player it means nothing, you cant let being ranked or not being ranked go to your head...
don't get me wrong i am sure it is nice to see your school on there but then again obviously with so many schools in the regions/districts being on there they all can't prove them selves in march when only 8 teams from 8 regions go to minot.....

Grafton took out two ranked opponents this week in Fordville Lankin Park River and Dakota Prairie
