In my cloudy crystal ball at the end of last year's state tourney, these were the teams I predicted would be playing in their respective region championship games. I won't predict the winners

They return Nudell and Kasowski (I believe) but they lost their PG (Tinjum)...Nudell may have to bring ball up floor & run offense more than past years.

Posted: Tue Aug 12, 2014 12:12 pmKindred's girls have some really good athletes(had them last year too) . they will be hard to beat this yr. If they can gel, they will go to state. Just look at the state track meet results and you will see.

Posted: Wed Aug 20, 2014 11:23 amAt Courts Plus Kindred looked gelled and ready for whipped cream on top. One loss all summer and that was to Davies in the championship. The only thing that may hold them back is inconsistent shooting.
Maple Valley will be right there at the end. Tinjum is gone but I don't think she was an instrumental piece in what they did last year. She was good, no doubt, but I think she is replaceable. Much will depend on Nudel's stamina. Will she have the conditioning she'll need to be even more involved in what they do over a full 32 minutes?

Posted: Tue Sep 23, 2014 7:05 amKindred should have numbers to be able to stay ahead of most of the small schools in Region 1. Maple Valley will be successful if Nudell can prove herself as a ball handler and outside shooter since most teams will try to deny her the ball.
