It is very early but I think that Carrington deserves to be in the top 10. They beat a very good Ellendale team, which is going to contend in Region 3 again.

Agreed...Carrington is going to win a ton of games and lose a few...but in the end I expect they will be in the thick of things in Region 4, right there with North Star and Lakota...Region 4 is tough again this year...toss up to who will come out of there...

Many teams usually get votes in the Pre-season poll. Things get figured out as the season goes along.

Do not sleep on Ellendale. After starting off the year with a loss to #7 Carrington, they have reeled off 4 dominating wins. I could see them cracking the polls again soon.

Ellendale seems to be good almost every year. Do they finally break through and win region 3?

and nothing against them, they play the teams on their schedule, but those teams they beat will struggle this season.

4 dominating wins???? Oakes,Oakes Leola-Frederick and Stausburg-Zeeland. Come on EHS1998. Lets see how they do in the Stutsman Co. Invitational before we start talking cracking the polls again. Going to be a very good tournament there with 4 or 5 teams that could win it. Anybody know the team that will replace the lost team from the Medina-Pingree-Buchanan Co-op.

I didn't come close to implying these wins were against top notch competition. I said I could see them cracking the polls again as I think they are pretty good. This is one persons opinion which is partially based off the fact that they are coming off a region runner up finish last year and they return their top 6 players from that team plus get a very good player back who was out with an injury last year. I agree that the Stutsman could be telling.

WOW...How about Region 4...Four ranked teams! The Ramsey County tourned should be good starting tonight. Will be a good test to who sits where in Region 4.

Thompson over Central Cass at Casselton 56-55. Thompson led by 13 in the first half. Central Cass came back to go ahead by 5 in the fourth. CC was without 5-11 Macie Romsdal (DNP,
twisted ankle).

Was the Thompson/Central Cass game webcast and archived someplace? Last season there was a guy who was webcasting some of the games in that area, but I can't remember the URL.

That person only streams for 4 schools now in the area (Oak Grove, Maple Valley, Northern Cass, Richland). I know it was on the radio tonight (KMAV)

You mean just like they beat them last year in the regional tourney? Please. Linton is not this unbeatable team and they shouldn't be put on a pedastle when we beat them last year. Ellendale returns the same team as last year with more experience plus a GREAT scorer/rebounder in Shayna Mertz. Linton can keep the votes...Ellendale can continue to fly under the radar

I think Thompson like the Emperor, has no clothes. I say this because at the shootout in Minot, Thompson couldn't handle parshalls 6'1" Cheyenne packineau. The lady-Braves came out and had Thompson on the ropes. So what happens??? Cheyenne packineau on the bench with 4(!?!?!) fouls early in the second quarter...now. Have at it.

Read in the Minot Daily Online today Bishop Ryan put up 97 points and the Bohl girl only played 2 minutes. That is a lot of points without your second leading scorer and one of the twin towers.

Bishop Ryan has won their last 3 games by wide margins against lower-end competition from their region: 91-34 vs. Rugby, 94-37 vs. Dunseith, 95-27 vs. Surrey. Region 6 drops off considerably after Bishop Ryan so scores are going may be ugly.

Agreed, would be nice to see them play some better competition. I believe they are something and 2 over the last 2 seasons? Someone in the East said they scrimmaged West Fargo in the pre-season? Can they hang with class A teams?
