1) Central Valley, the Henningsgard sisters, with maybe 1-2 girls coming in to help out from Hillsboro, will be the region favorites. We'll see how next year goes as far as breaks go for the sisters, they seem to get the benefit of the doubt on many calls, but many "name" players do also. 2) Thompson, still has a young team but if they mature at all they may edge Grafton out and make the final. They have quite a bit of talent. 3) Grafton will be OK. They may surprise all of us and win it again. My thinking is that if the Spoilers learn to play together - NOT with certain girls trying to "shoot every time they touch it" - and still play agressive/smart basketball - they will be dangerous. The Spoiler coaches must not allow them to become a one or two scorer team (certain people will definitely get their points no matter what). Those "scorers" need to use their talent to build up others, share the points so to speak, ALL SEASON, no matter who the opponent is or what the score is, to inspire confidence in everyone. Folks still debate past teams failure to get there, to win the big one, but I think Coach Sieben finally learned last year that if everyone was made confident and she let them all "go" in the end it paid off with a state championship. If my above thoughts happen and the stars align, I'd be confident changing my number for Grafton to #1. Go Spoilers!
