Let the debate start....Who is on the Class B team?

I would say Megan Klein from killdeer will be considered as well

I agree...she had a knee injury last spring but came out very strong end of the basketball season, IMO is a player that has been overlooked....

So there is a pretty good list to start with for debating...

Was the Emmel girl from Shiloh a senior? If so, I would have to say her before anyone else on her team. Velva's only significant player that was a senior was Ingerbretson(sp?)

Paige Emmel of Shiloh is ONLY a junior...Schindler is the only one that graduates from that team. I wasn't sure on Velva...that's why there was no name listed.

HOw about Becca Scherr?

Thanks wolves, not trying to start a bunch of controversy, she is definitely better than a handful of listed players, but the likelihood of getting 3 players from the same team is not very likely. I'm not going to list the player's I think she is better than, never know, maybe she will make it, she deserves it!!! So do much of the listed players as well, good luck to all of them on the voting process.

Scherr definately belongs on that team. She's gotta be right up there in the State for 3's. On most teams she's easliy a 20 pt. scorer. Since Thompson will more than likely go the Volley Ball route, maybe Rosenau and Scherr will make it...They should.

Velva has more than one significant player...Newman and Keller are great players too.

How about Hiesler from velva well rounded player

My bad. Forgot this was a senior honor. Newman and Keller wouldn't qualify. Heisler, Berndt & Engebretson all significant.

Does anyone know the rosters yet for Class A and Class B? I also heard that the dates were moved by one week. Any truth to this? Thank you.

The dates are July 24th & 25th (according to BEK Sports)

Has an official roster come out yet?

From Carrington: Both Scherr and Rosenau are playing...Thompson is playing in the Volley Ball event.

Very nice win for the Class B girls last night. I was impressed with their work ethic on the defensive end, expecially for an All Star game. Hopefully it continues tonight!

Bottom line - she didn't play and Class B won - thats the only thing that is certain. We can play the "if" game all day long in sports.

Were there some top Class B players that weren't on the roster? Class A was missing Larson & Jacobs from Century, and Johnson from Minot for sure.

where was spanky? And as far as the 'uncle ricco' "if only" comment u never know how people gel to make a team.

There was kids from both sides that are really good that did not make the team. It is for fun and for charity. It looked like the B Coach made sure her girls played a bunch... good players on a great team but it would have been nice to see some the kids that can score be on the floor a little more.

There are about as many reason why some good players were not on the rosters as there were good players not on the rosters: injury, family reasons, chose VB all-star game, college coach preferred they not play, activity violations, just to name a couple possibilities. The selection committees go through many to get to 12. It may not be that they didn't make it, but perhaps couldn't.

All-star rules are such that everyone on the roster plays a minimum of 7 minutes per half. That'll keep some of the scorers on the bench.
