Since we started discussing Mr. Basketball..we might as well start debating Ms. Basketball too.

Do you think team success will play into her getting it or not getting it?

and isn't it "Miss Basketball?"

Her numbers are quite impressive even if her record doesn't seem great (11-10). They went through a rough coaching change close to the start of the season.

1,320 points coming into the season (not sure what her official total is as we speak) and 1,373+ rebounds (#2 All-Time in State History). She seems to be a consistent 20 point/20 rebound performer each night.

She is definitely a good basketball player, but she's also the only good one on her team (and has always been the only one as far as I can remember), so her stats are going to be quite inflated compared to girls who are on a more well-balanced team.

the flipside is that when you are a good player on a bad team you are usually focused on by your opponents night after night. i have never seen her play. what is her game like?

Just seen Brandy Messners numbers on here, 21pts and 10.9rbs and a crazy district tournament 24pts and 15rbs for an average. these are solid, she's gotta be in the mix. lets get some more numbers out there

Spanky Clayton, Guard, Washburn 24 ppg, 1400 points in career and she sat out her sophomore season because of transferring. 24-5 region champions last year & 16-6 this year with a young team and is chased almost every game.

Why wasn't she D3 Senior player of the year?

She was a Co-Senior Athlete of the Year in that district (with Abby Sletten of Hatton-Northwood)
