Sierra Rosenue sprained her ankle in warm ups

But Rosenau played the majority of the game, from the radio. Hasn't scored much the last couple games. Carrington I think struggled with the full court defense. Sounded like a lot of turnovers.

Yes, she played, but played on one leg! A really gutty performance. One of the reasons Carrington struggled in the back court was her lack of mobility.

Velva came out strong in this game. They are a VERY good looking team. Reminded me a lot of Napoleon. They just couldn't sustain their energy into the second half.

Where Carrington misses Thompson is on Defense and the boards. The two back ups have done an excellent job on the offensive side, but Carrington definately misses Thompson on the defensive side.

Carrington is a little "banged up" right now. Will be an interesting game on Friday against Central Cass.

I was at this game, and although Rosenau was injured, I don't think this should take away from Velva's performance. They played very well. Velva is a strong team with a great press and they love to run. Great opportunity for them to play a team at their skill level. I think they're going to surprise a lot of people.
