For them to have a chance Johnson is going to have to play and with a faster pace game it will allow teams to attack there lack of depth. In the district play in game they sat back and forced Kindred to shoot from the outside and slowed the pace of the game. Should be interesting, maybe I am putting to much thought into the shot clock but I see it speeding up the pace of the game?

This makes no sense. If they want to sit back in a zone a shot clock will help them because a team can't pass it around for 2 minutes looking for a perfect shot. The other team will have to eventually take one of the outside shots that is given to them.

I agree. The shot clock will definitely help them. Richland will be able to keep their top rebounder in position, and opponents will have to shoot, even w/ a lead.

Central Cass, Northern Cass and Oak Grove are all in the Courts Plus summer league gold tournament. It will be interesting to see how this all shakes out!

Silver division has the Buffalo Raiders (Maple Valley area), Lisbon, Hankinson and Kindred.

Bronze division has FSHP and Richland.

Central Cass will win over N. Cass and Oak Grove will push Moorhead but I don't think they'll have quite enough.

The thing the intrigues me right now is that Kindred's summer ball is pretty pathetic (and Richland's for that matter).

Does Kindred not have all of their regular players this summer or what's going on with them?

How is OG's JV not in the gold division for the JV league?

My guess is that they must have played quite a few games without their regular JV/varsity players.

No...they have had their main players there most of the nights (the night against CC they all were at a team volleyball camp). They had one girl break her hand in a game against Park Christian but offense (IMO) is not her strong suit. I guess the night that they had to cancel the game may have affected the standings a bit (that was that SUPER HOT and HUMID Thursday...Clara Barton's floor kept having water condensing on it).

They are at least 3-2 as I've seen them win 3 games myself.

I figured out who isn't coming. It's Johsnson. I heard she plays fastpitch softball on Thursdays.

The 18U fastpitch girls play on Wednesdays in Fargo, unless she is playing somewhere else...

I just asked someone today from Richland and I was told, "she plays fastpitch softball." I assumed it was on Thursdays.

Fastpitch is going to continually take up summer play time of more athletes each summer as the sport grows. Even if a player playes league on Wednesdays, Tuesdays and Thursdays are big practice days for fastpitch traveling teams.

I disagree run, you have a lot of love for district two. There are several teams who will be solid coming out of district 1

Well until someone from District 1 shows that they'll be able to run with the 4 teams from District 2...I'll stick with my prediction. I think Milnor will pose issues for OG and NC (especially with McCloud back from injury) and maybe North Sargent (as long as they all stay healthy)...but I think OG and NC would prevail. It is hard to know exactly what will happen this early...since most of the girls in the region are still in volleyball season.

Any chance MV will have a chance to contend for a Region spot? I also heard Enderlin is so down on girls they may not even have a team?!?!

Enderlin will manage to have a team...they may just have to dip into their JH grades. Maple Valley could sneak out the 4th spot but it would be tough...Richland and Oak Grove seem to be the favorites.

What's going on in Enderlin? I know some girls quit the volleyball team... will it be more of the same for basketball?
