Aren't they 0 - 2? They lost to both Northern Cass and Enderlin, two teams that are very average this year. I wouldn't count on them getting out of their district, let alone the region.

Milnor 66, Kindred 33

In my opinion the Milnor/Kindred game wasn't too much of a surprise. Milnor is going to be tough this year. They have size, strength and speed and an abundance of players to contribute. Kindred only has 7 girls that will contribute to the team on any given night.

Through 2 games Oak Grove's Tatum Holt is averaging 15.5 ppg and 10 apg; Logan Selisker is averaging 18 ppg.

So far Oak Grove's play has been fairly impressive especially since they dress only 10 girls (6 freshman, 1 sophomore, 2 juniors and a senior; starting 3 freshman every night). Oak Grove BB should be very competitive for the next four years.

You had Kindred ranked higher than Milnor so I was just surprised Milnor didn't seem to have any problems with them. :)

Yes, they're doing well. Even though the younger Central Cass girls don't get to see varsity time due to our large numbers (and strong team), we will just keep reloading. Both CC JV and C-squads have beaten teams by 20 - 50 points this year. We're not done after this year. :D

OG's JV has been pretty poor as of late but with the addition of 4 JH players play should get better.

Im not surprised by this at all either. Milnor obviously played like they know they can, and Kindred did not. I was even surpised to see Kindred at 2nd up there. They have no one besides Dahl and Otterson. I'm calling Milnor and Central Cass in Region Championship.

At one point, Richland had a very young and relatively successful team. Could they be a threat at all?

There's quite a few young teams in District 2:
Kindred: (yes, got blown out by Milnor...but have all underclassmen and had a very successful volleyball season)...not much of a perimeter threat and need to improve their half-court game. Have some athletes, however...and like to get up and down the court.
Oak Grove: just plain scary. Athletic girls who are pretty fundamentally sound. Better in a full-court game. Curious to see how they stop teams with good post play.
Richland: only has one senior. Patient offensively, and seem to be much better in a half-court style of game on offense. Need consistent perimeter threat. Sounds like they've scored alot of points this winter, but will see when they match up against some tougher teams.
Northern Cass: young but athletic. I think they will be a bigger threat come post-season than people think.

Ouch...that opens up the #4 seed in District 1 to North Sargent, Lisbon, Hankinson and W-L...any one of them could get it
