Biggest coaching shoes to fill

Postby Nodak Guy » Mon Jun 16, 2008 10:36 am

There have been some veteran Class B coaches stepping down since the season ended, so which job is going to be the hardest on the "new guy" coming in? Some of the coaches that pop into mind are Ron Carlson at Minnewaukan/Leeds, Dave Nelson at May-Port-C-G, Steve Carnal at Fargo Oak Grove, and Doug Olson at Beulah. What's the biggest pressure position and why? Who else has stepped down that we could add to this list?

It'll be easier for MPCG's coach to come in after they had a year in which they didn't make regionals, rather than in a year when they made a run for the State Tournament. Nonetheless, Nelson will leave big shoes to fill.
