Early top ten for 08-09

Postby nativegolfer » Sun Mar 30, 2008 10:23 pm

Come on, it's never to early to look at what might the next years top ten teams. In no particular order, some teams might be FW, of course, TLM, DT, Richland, North Sargent, Park River, Bowman, Crosby Divide. Any others?

Linton returns everyone except for Schneider, they should be in the top ten to start the season.

TLM. They have two all-staters coming back from a state runner-up team. I think that would definitely put them in the top ten.

North Sargent will probably be rated, but they are never going to make it to state. They have never won District 1, have never even been in the regional championship game, and will continue the tradition of not making itIf they do make it to state, it will solely be based on the fact that Region 1 will be the weakest it has ever been next year. That's especially sad considering the fact the Milnor and Oak Grove are the only two teams to do anything at State in almost 30 years. Drevlow is good, but the Hanson kid has an attitude problem he needs to fix.

i think they will be a solid sleeper pick. they were a .500 team with a lot of youth on the court last year. depending on how they progress in the offseason, i could see them making a run next season. their big problem this past season seemed to be consistency, and as their core group gets older, that should begin to go away. that said, four winds is going to be tough again.

I gotta put up Park River, they return basically everyone, excluding one player who didn't do that much for them....they played Grafton really tough in the Region 2 Championship game, I think it was a 2-point game or something...amazing game too...but yeah, Look for Park River

Well i think Dunseith is always gonna be a tought team for example ....Everyone thought that they were gonna be no good without Adam Hunt this year and look it where it brought em ....District 11 Champs.. and Region 6 runner up for the second year in a row. So they maybe losing their starting 5 but that is ok because all of the junior are a very well experienced team.

Carrington was the top team in the district last year and went into the tournament as a 5 or 6 seed. My vote is that they will choke again.
keys to coaching
1) Surround yorself with people who can't live without football
2) Recognize winners. They come in all forms
3) Have a plan for everything

"Don't give up at halftime. COncentrate on winning the second half"

"When you can't score from the 1, you don't deserve to win"

I dont no y u have Richand in there. I think they need to have someone step up and become a reliable scorer cuz Bachman and Erbes can only do so much

TL, Park River, and Four Winds should be the top three teams in the states opening polls for next season. 4 winds brings 3 starters back and a good kid off the bench? sorry i don't know his name. TL has Malzar and Singer with trever thomas coming into a role this year as a starter. and park river has all their starters back including AJ Hensel who started earlier in the year. Justin Mosinski and Malzar should both be up for senior athlete of the year in class b. i cud see Park River winning it all and keeping region 2 as the top dog in class b boys basketball
