All Region Teams

I am looking for some answers from other regions across the state, Including region 7:

LAst night The region 7 team was announced. I always rememberd it being a regional tournament team. Last night every player played at the regional tournament. So was this based on regular season, or tournament ,or both???
I personally believe that Districts have all district teams (based on regular season), so Regional should be the tournament. I saw some great preformaces.......ummmm, beach (and that is more than just beating trinity), and they didn;t have a guy make it. I know that this is so political and backwards that very rarely are the best picked, but I am just unsure how they come up with it, and what is it based on, reg season or tourney??
How do other regions do this do they base it on reg season or tourney?

I too am confused by the selection of the all-region team. I felt some players who played well at regionals/districts were left off the all-region 7 team!

Each region is different. Region 6 doesn't do it that way. According to one of the coaches I talked too - they take the top 5 players that received the most district votes from each district - and that is their all-region team.

Region 8 looks like the top 2 from each team the final night. Not that it's a bad thing or incorrect.

region 1 does not have a all region team they have a region player of the year and coach of the year

Region 5 does an all tournament team that is just from the tournament (don't know who chooses the team or how it is voted upon.)
