Well the always rowdy rival in District 10 takes place tonight putting the Milton Meteors (known colloquially as a "shooting star" or "falling star") on the road for the big 7 mile trek over to play the Osnabrock Orioles (oriole is a small icterid blackbird common in eastern North America and occasionally NE North Dakota )

folks will flock to the ND State Barley Hall to watch a display of dunks in warm up causing the game to start with an automatic Technical Foul....(shoot I know they could've have out jumped them for the tip)

and what a game it was with 4 jump balls (giving an opportunity to see who actually would have won the initial tip off)....the full court press of the Meteors ruffled the Orioles feathers and sent them to their respective locker room with their beaks wet from the tears......the thin little wooden door that separated the 2 spent teams locker rooms took a series of fist banging sending the ever so mutual foes the message "we dont like you".....they then got back on the bus that was plugged in during game so it would start at 20 below (after the game was over) and back home they went...

Big news out of Region 10 today!!! Region dictator MC Turtle has finally decided to let Haynes and North Lemmon back into the region!! The "Briefs" and the "Syobwoc's" have been waiting in the wings for almost 6 years to get their time to shine!! Today's ruling comes despite the consistent objections from Bucyrus and coach Buddy Bobber! This will surely shake things up in the Region!! The Buffalo Springs Bandits are off to their best start in recent memory, starting the year off with victories over the Bucyrus Buzzkills, Haley Dammers and the Griffin Doors. Leading the way for the Bandits this year is a player by the name of Runnin' Gunn, he's a lefty with a quick release and the best footwork this analyst has seen since Two Steppin' Tommy Fleet laced em' up for the Bandits in the early 90's. This years region 10 race is going to be an absolute slobberknocker!!! Rumor has it that Bagger Sand is looking for a squad who can conceal his identity so we might see more of his patented "behind the back, lob off the backboard, twisting tomahawk, throw down from downtown" in the near future!!! My Oh My!!!!!!!

It's about time someone brought back the talk about Regions 9 & 10. It's been pretty quiet in those Regions for a while now! :D

I think the sleeper team that will surprise everyone is the Venlo Venom out of Region 0.

They have a star in Willie Dunk. Born and raised in the Sandhills this kid is a real gamer. At the Shenford Invitational he scored 55 points by the end of the game against the Owego Owls. In the 2nd game of the Inv he added to that by scoring a quadruple double 33 points 22 rebounds 11 assists and 10 blocks against a very tough Anselm antelope team. In the Championship game his teammate Jack Flash was the 2nd best player on the court..this kid can Jump ! Between him and Dunk they scored 90 of the teams 91 points against a pressing Buttzville squad who was lead by Lefty Lars Larson..final score of that game for the win was 91 - 70.

I think this team has a great chance of making it to state. Their Coach Pete Klinkhammer has got these boys looking good. IMO.. If they can get by the Happy Valley Walleye they will be the team to beat.
