Region 4 Tourney

Postby ndlionsfan » Tue Feb 26, 2008 9:52 pm

I don't know the times yet, but the games will go as follows

#1 (8) M/S vs #4 (7) Lakota
#2 (7) FW vs #3 (8) Langdon
#1 (7) NRS vs #4 (8) St John
#2 (8) M/L vs #3 (7) Warwick

Some very interesting first round matchups....

2 people taking SJ over NRS....interesting. I don't think SJ can pull off that upset. I'll go with...

M/S in a closer game than most would expect
NRS by 15
M/L by 12
Langdon upsets FW by 4

I'll take Warwick in an upset, NRS, MS and FW.

You can't take both Warwick and ML....they play each other. Do you mean Lakota upset over MS or was your third pick suppose to be MS and not ML?

ML and Warwick in a close game...ML winning.
I really don't know about the NR/St. John game
I'll take MS over Lakota by a decent margin
Langdon over FW in a close one...OT maybe?

I would love to see a District 8 sweep. But maybe it's just me. Not very likely...but that'd be cool.

I'd say M/S over Lakota....M/S is really on a hot streak, we'll see if it carries into regionals
M/L over Warwick in a close one
I don't know if SJ can get by NR based on how they played in districts but if they do then watch out
FW over Langdon but really could go either way, FW plays tough in the sportscenter though

I'll make my guess that NR will not be beat by St. John. No way. M/S will not be beat by Lakota. No way. The other 2 games should be dandys. FW and Langdon havent played yet, and either have Warwick and ML, BUT, District 8 had a chance to scout out their opponents being done a day earlier. Should be a good tourney.

I will take NR, ML, MS, and Langdon in the upset. ML and MS then in the semis with MS taking the rubber match. Would be nice to see a district 8 sweep but I also don't agree that SJ will beat NR.

Is it true that Warwick will be missing some players for the Region games? I heard some talk today but I wasn't sure if it was true. I don't want this thread to be locked so please don't actually mention any specific incidents. I was just wondering if someone could confirm or deny that Warwick will have players sitting out on Mon.

Warwick probably puts more points on the board than anyone in the Region so a slow down game probably wont favor them. Wells had them a little slower than they were used to and Warwick barely snuck by. ML has a few days of practice and Ron is a great coach, it will be a good game, its a tough first round draw, thats for sure. I think ML and NR/S for the Semis followed by MS and FW. Straight up District 7 against 8, This region is so balanced you just never know, what more could you ask for. Its tourney time now, it doesnt matter how many games you've lost, just win out............

ya i guess i would have to agree with u on the warwick ML call i figure the way that warwick has a chance is if vernell or their other shooters knock down some shots against their zone and i also agree ron is one of the best coaches in ND bball

Right now it comes down to who plays the hardest. Thats it. So many competitive teams how can you choose. It's that time of year now, win or go home.

They should have the same line-up they had during the Wells County game.
